1/2" Magnets. Stonewashed. 5 Different Alloys Including Tungsten.

1/2" stone washed magnets CNC machined from aluminum, copper, stainless, titanium, and tungsten! Each magnet is hand sanded, blasted, (forced patina for copper), and then stone washed for a weathered scratch resistant finish!

Summary

I've fulfilled a handful of magnet projects now. Several of my repeat customers have requested the return of titanium and tungsten as well as a stone washed finish.
So I am much obliged to do so!

1/2" diameter CNC machined magnet cases in 6 different metal alloys ranging from aluminum, lead free brass, copper, stainless steel, titanium, and tungsten! These are then hand sanded, forced patina (for the copper), stone washed and then a powerful rare earth magnet is epoxied into the bore on the bottom. The bore is slightly recessed to prevent any direct impact on the magnet.

Features

9 lb pull force rare earth magnet epoxied into the bore on the bottom of each magnet. I've been using this recipe for years with no known problems. It feels closer to 4-5 lbs pull force depending on how thick the paint is on your cabinet or the amount of ferrous content in your refrigerator door. The magnet itself is recessed slightly within the bore so that the impact force is exerted on the casing. This prevents the magnet from breaking over time.

Timeline

2018: Make my first Kickstarter projects with 1/2" magnets
2023: Make a bunch of other magnet projects
Q2 2023: Receive requests for more 1/2" magnets. I guess you guys love the strength and size combination!
September: Begin prototyping 1/2" magnets. Get a head start on production.
October: Make project. Launch project. Begin fulfillment immediately after funding close.
November: Continue fulfillment.

It's as simple as that!
