Wealthy beyond measure, the Hunters come to Prospero’s Dream from all over the Galaxy. Corporate scions, rim-world despots, and trigger-happy gangsters. In the ruined downtown core of The Sink, they're here for the kind of game you can’t play anywhere else. Where they get to kill or be killed. To pretend for a day that they are just like the rest of us...

HUNTERS is a lavishly illustrated 36+ page action-horror adventure with a tight time-limit and high stakes. Playing as a "Target" marked for death, before the time runs out you must find a way to either break the rules, kill all the hunters... or die.

WHAT'S INSIDE

  • A sandbox death-game adventure of Hunters vs Targets: break the rules and escape, or go down fighting as the situation escalates across 3 acts to an explosive finale.
  • Rules and procedures: everything a Warden needs for running a Hunt.
  • Hooks and starting scenarios: suitable for both new and ongoing campaigns.
  • 5+ terrifying Hunters: from the inhuman Green Man to the local bad-boy Vladimir, each with unique and deadly gear and abilities.
  • 10+ NPC Targets: each with their own stories, goals and skills.
  • The Hunting Grounds: explore the downtown of The Sink with a fully mapped and keyed mini-sandbox featuring 20 unique locations and tools to generate more.
  • 3 detailed major locations: a decaying security complex, a transfigured medtech HQ and the ruins of an avant-garde fine-dining restaurant.
  • New horrors: mutated cybernetic monstrosities, a decaying android security force and hidden cryo-frozen alien creatures.
  • Discover: an assassination plot, factional intrigue, dormant AI, lost corporate treasures and game-changing secrets to turn the tables and beat the Hunters at their own game.

USING THIS MODULE

While HUNTERS is a complete, self-contained adventure, it also has something to add to any Mothership campaign set on Prospero's Dream: split out the NPCs and the Hunters, use the Hunt scenario rules in another location, or use it as a more general toolkit for any missions your players take in The Sink.
There are also a variety of starting scenarios and hooks that tie the events of HUNTERS into the existing factions of Prospero's Dream, making it easy to slot into your game.

THE SETTING

The Sink. Thin and rancid air, perpetually dark, flooded and transformed by the ACMD outbreak; the Old City is happily out of sight and out of mind for most of the people of Prospero's Dream. Which suits the Hunters just fine.

This zine maps out The Hunting Grounds: a segment of the city's downtown with 20 locations, as well as tables for generating ruins and exploration encounters to give further depth to any game exploring The Sink. Included are 3 detailed major locations which could hold the key to your players' survival:
  • City Security and Control: the former security hub of The Dream which housed its android security force and the dormant City Control AI.
  • Juno Tower: the HQ of a medtech corporation now warped, transformed and overrun by ACMD-mutated monstrosities.
  • Gastronomer: a ruined fine-dining destination which still holds horrors in its cryofreezers.

All locations and descriptions are rich with environmental storytelling, giving hints at past Hunts and the trauma of the ACMD outbreak which destroyed the Old City.

The Hunting Grounds shrinks as the time ticks down, each zone deactivating one by one (WIP)

THE HORROR

You wake up feeling dazed, and with a sharp pain behind your right ear: a new implant you don't remember getting. The air is thin, humid and foul. You are in darkness. This has to be The Choke...

HUNTERS is packed with sources of terror and danger. Environmental hazards, slumbering cybernetic monstrosities, and a body-warping plague which taints every surface.

However, this adventure's star horrors are the 5+ Hunters, and the rigged game that the players find themselves trapped within. As the time runs out, the Hunters close in and their options shrink, your players will have to use all of their wits and think outside the box to make it out alive.

The Hunters aren’t the only horrors out to get the players!

This Mothership Month, HUNTERS (Green Beetle Games) is teaming up with Terminal Directive (Burning Light Press) to create a bonus pamphlet module... RATCATCHERS

WIP of the slum district of RATCATCHERS

RATCATCHERS acts as both a stand-alone prologue to HUNTERS and a harrowing side-quest for Terminal Directive. Set in the slum district of Terminal Directive's Sector 78, your unlucky crew is looking for a missing person and finds more than they bargained for: Novo conspiracies, a gruesome cybersurgery chop-shop, and a formidable all-new Hunter.

Backers who back BOTH projects at a physical level will receive a free physical + digital edition of RATCATCHERS (digital backers will receive a PDF only).

HUNTERS will also include easter eggs and cross-references with other MM25 modules, including The Sunlit Path, Certain Fathoms, The Company's New Groove and Grim Merchants.

Hi! I’m Zoe Tweedale and I'm a visual artist. In my spare time I'm a passionate sci-fi fan and Mothership Warden.

HUNTERS is my first published module, and my first crowdfunding project. Aiming high!

HUNTERS is a solo project, with me writing, illustrating and everything else. The funds from this campaign will allow me to dedicate as much time as I can to doing this, as well as hire editors and other help or purchase any tools and materials that I may need.

My goal is to be honest and timely in my communications. Complications will happen, unforeseen challenges will arise, but I have every intention of working through them to get an amazing product to all my backers.

Shipping & Fulfilment by Tuesday Knight Games

This year, we're trying something different. Nearly every Mothership Month project is part of a shared shipping initiative. That means:

  • One pledge manager. When Mothership Month ends, you’ll receive one combined pledge manager survey for all participating projects — our “mega pledge manager.” That means just one survey and one shipping payment for multiple projects.
  • One shipping charge. Because these projects will ship together, you’ll only pay shipping once, saving you money.
  • One fulfillment timeline. All participating campaigns are scheduled to ship at the same time, ensuring your rewards arrive together.
  • Two exceptions. Only two creators (Bombs Bursting in Air and Roach Motel) have opted out of this group fulfillment plan; their shipping will be handled separately. Why did they opt out? These two projects are very close to being ready to fulfill, and it didn't make sense to their teams to wait.

Estimated Shipping

Below is a table of estimated shipping prices based on weight. You can see at the bottom what the estimated weights are for different items. Prospero's Dream should be around the same weight (maybe slightly lighter) than the Mothership Core Set. Additionally, if you order several items you'll incur a small charge for additional items, which varies based on your country.

This does not include any applicable VAT or taxes. A reminder that these shipping prices are an estimate and it’s possible they will change based on global conditions beyond our control.

All prices are in $USD

When will these projects ship?
Our collective goal is to have all Mothership Month 2025 projects fulfilled before Mothership Month 2026 begins. Some projects are further along than others, so their timeline for digital rewards will vary. But we have roughly a year to fulfill before Mothership Month 2026, which gives everyone enough time to finish up and get their products to our warehouse.

What is Mothership Month?

Every year, Tuesday Knight Games and dozens of third-party creators launch new Mothership projects around a shared theme. This year’s theme (“The Dream Returns”) centers on Prospero’s Dream, the infamous X-Class back-world, black market space station. Each project ties back to the Dream in some way.  Not only that, but we'll be opening up Prospero's Dream as a shared setting for all third-party creators going forward.

Get your exclusive Supply Pod!

This year we're changing up the Supply Pods. Now there is just ONE BIG SUPPLY POD. It's unlocked once all projects fund and it improves as we hit more group achievements. How do you get the Supply Pod? Back 5 or more projects at the physical level and get access to all the cool goodies.
