Just a quick update to inform y'all that nothing has changed, and we are still on target for September shipping for US backers.
Next steps
Addresses have not been locked for US backers, so locking them is our next step! I will send a notice out before I leave for Otakon (August 7th) during which you will have 48 hours to change or confirm your address before the system locks in preparation for your shipments!
Like the title says, I've shipped out all EU and most CAN orders! Yay! Keep an eye on your mailboxes.
I have held back any packages that include plush I don't have in stock at home; unfortunately these packages will have to wait until August to be shipped. The cost of shipping from the US to the EU + VAT and customs fees is too high, so I will ship them after I return from Otakon in mid-August.
New projects on the horizon!
Now for something different but still very fun!
Cozy Town Critters + Petit Paw enamel pins
I'm hosting an enamel pin collab here on BK! It's called Cozy Town Critters. Here are some more details:
Ever wanted to walk through a Richard Scarry book or wished that your cute Animal Crossing villagers had neighborhood of shops of their own? So did we!
Introducing Cozy Town Critters, a pin collective inspired by cute animal mascots, children's book illustrations and cozy video games.
We are four creators total, and by backing all of us you'll receive a free fabric banner with a cute map of the township so you can customize your very own cozy town!
My own project is called Petit Paw enamel pin collection (see work-in-progress art above), and features a lovely feline dango merchant, a dashing tea sommelier fox and a cute-as-a-button, always-busy chihuahua postman. Here is the first pass banner, featuring some of my favorite sketches so far.
This project (and the other three projects) will launch Sept. 1st, 2025.
This project will be part of Pintopia 2026, and will include the adorable Mint Chocoturtle plush in original mint chocolate plus THREE new flavors: Melon Panturtle, Taro Bunturtle and Birthday Caketurtle--prototype photos coming soon!
Our pins arrived in one BIG box. A box bigger than my dog Mochi (though I suppose that isn't very impressive, he is quite small)!
Show me the goods
I just came back from an international trip and I don't have any brain juice left to do inventory, but I did rip that baby open to look at all the designs. They are nice and chonky, and the manufacturer was kind enough to put print backing cards and assemble them for me.
The itty bitty roundy boi Crabapple pin makes me so! happy!! I double dare you to zoom on in on that liddle guy for a burst of serotonin happiness.
I'm very happy with the quality and care used to create these pins. I'll check for B-grades and take those out of the fulfillment pool so you get the best pins.
Beginning next week I will order the sticker rewards, and begin to organize quantities for fulfillment.
I am still waiting on the pins to complete production. I was given a few photos of them mid-production, which were interesting to see. They still need to be sanded and plated so the line work is black like in my art.
I was told they will be ready sometime this week, so keep your eyes peeled for a second update very soon!
