This update took an extra week because the work took an extra week to finish. However, as of now:
All Hexploration Card Deck writing is done for all 5 decks, and edited!
All art for the Card Decks is also done.
All the Hex Minimap Tiles are done as well!
But getting to this point was more work than I expected, which is why it took the extra week and we didn't get the surveys out before this update. However, the surveys are now almost ready--we just need to tweak one thing with them. Backerkit doesn't like us to send them before the weekend anyway, so we'll get them sent early next week.
Meanwhile we still do have plenty to do:
Box art.
Finish integrating the edits that our editor has made.
Finalize the hex tiles--which fronts will go with which backs; exactly how many blanks and sea tiles we'll have, that sort of thing.
Finalize the clings.
Anyway, I'm going to push to have these done as a first public draft in time for when we launch surveys next week. Then I'd like to give you all a week to send me feedback on them. (Catch typos, etc.) Then I'll send them to the printer.
More samples! (Note these don't yet have our editor's comments included.) First, a few of the final "Stranger Places" deck's last cards center on how would a mini-realm be changed based on who an area was made for. Something like Ravenloft's Domains, but not Horror. In addition to the 'Artist', we have inventor, wizard, and cosmic guardian themed cards--plus a card with translation and navigation items useful for visiting other realms and planes.
Next here are a couple more art samples:
Pirate Town
Sea Trench
And below are a few of the final card sides from the High Seas deck. Our intent with these first two is to give you the basics of 15+ ships--and you can create stats for your game system if needed. Some games have stats for a handful of ships. This list will let you create more by adjusting a similar ship's stats based on the details here. BTW, if you're a naval expert and know how some of these can be improved, drop me a line! As I wrote above, we were pushing hard, so excuse the typos--especially in the last cards.
