In the beginning… there were a lot of words.
 Because I think, talk, and write—a lot. Always have.
 And for a long time, this was more of a constant threat to those around me than anything else—until fall 2023, when my wife insisted on knowing how one of my half-finished stories would continue. Which forced me to finally write a full book.

Turns out, it had to be three books—because the story (and its characters) needed way more space than I’d planned. Great. No problem.
 And hey, why not add that lyrics collection I had “almost finished” for years? (You know how it goes: “almost done” is just the visible tip of the iceberg.)

But once I got started, I couldn’t stop.
 And as the writing gained momentum, so did the idea of publishing.
 The first milestone came in September 2024 at Booktopia: Book 1 of the No Brainer trilogy – Dire Contact.
Then in February 2025 came DELAY—with delays, chaos, and a countdown that ran backward.
And in March 2025, Space Time followed… along with the announcement for the trilogy’s final book, coming this September with Printopia: Continuum.

That means:
 From September 2024 to September 2025 – four book campaigns.
 Plus all the books I had to write and edit in between.
 But hey, doable. Somehow. Sleep is overrated.

And yes, it was going okay – until the decision came to move… to Denmark.
 With wife, pets, two companies—and still writing, of course. On the road. Between moving boxes. Easy, right?

Well… not a problem. But definitely exhausting.

And that’s why I’m even more happy to finally write you an update that starts with something I rarely get to say:
 We can finally check off a few beautiful boxes.

 Yes – the campaign is fulfilled, and the survey closed.

The English paperback has just been re-released on Amazon—updated, reformatted, and with its own ISBN.

Am Anfang waren ... sehr viele Worte, denn ich denke, rede und schreibe viel, schon immer. Und lange war das nur für mein engeres Umfeld eine stetige Bedrohung – bis zum Herbst 2023. Da verlangte meine Frau zu erfahren, wie eine der angefangenen Geschichten weitergeht, und ich sah mich gezwungen, endlich ein komplettes Buch zu schreiben.

Dabei stellte ich fest, dass es wohl drei Bücher werden mussten, da die Geschichte und ihre Charaktere viel mehr Raum wollten als ursprünglich angenommen. Wunderbar, kein Problem ... und hey, dann noch einen Lyrikband, das Projekt war ja auch schon "fast fertig" – was sich am Ende immer als die Spitze eines Eisbergs herausstellt, das kennt ihr sicher.

Aber als ich einmal angefangen hatte, konnte ich nicht mehr stoppen – und mit dem Schreiben entwickelte sich auch der Plan zur Veröffentlichung der Bücher. Startschuss war im September 2024 bei Booktopia: Buch 1 der No-Brainer-Trilogie Verhängnisvoller Kontakt. Darauf folgte im Februar 2025 mit Chaos und Verspätungen – und einem Countdown, der rückwärts lief: DELAY, und im März 2025 Buch 2: Raum Zeit … und die Ankündigung für Buch 3 und den Abschluss der Trilogie bei Printopia im September 2025.

Das bedeutet: Von September 2024 bis September 2025 – vier Buchkampagnen. Naja, und Bücher, die ich schreiben und überarbeiten musste. Aber okay, das geht alles … irgendwie. Schlaf ist überbewertet.

Und ja, es ging recht gut – bis zum Jahreswechsel der Plan gefasst wurde, doch von Deutschland nach Dänemark umzusiedeln. Mit Frau, Haustieren und zwei Firmen. Und dem Buchschreiben – das geht ja auch unterwegs und zwischen Kartons, kein Problem … oder?

Nein, ein Problem war es nicht. Aber verdammt anstrengend.
 Und auch deshalb bin ich so froh, euch endlich ein Update zu schreiben, in dem ich stolz sagen kann:
 Jetzt ist der Moment gekommen, ein paar wirklich schöne Haken zu setzen.

 Yes – die Auslieferung der Kampagne ist abgeschlossen und die Umfragen wurden beendet. Aber auch hier gilt: Wenn du etwas vermisst, Probleme mit der Lieferung hattest oder deine Umfrage nicht abschließen konntest, melde dich gern direkt bei mir.

Das englische Paperback ist auf Amazon gerade neu veröffentlicht und bestellbar – und auch das Hörbuch ist in beiden Sprachen da. Alles wurde überarbeitet, neu formatiert und mit einer eigenen ISBN versehen.

after putting it off until the last moment again, there are three updates in one e-mail today – don't want anyone to say I'm spamming them 😉

Fulfillment of “Dire Contact”:
I already mentioned the delivery of the e-books in the last update, now all the printed books have been sent and, as far as I know, received, along with the German audio book.
So far so good – the English audio book is still in the works, but will also be delivered soon.

Future: plans for 2025:
The draft for book 2 in the trilogy is halfway done – working with the delivery and preparing for the version for retail was definitely more time-consuming than expected … learned something new again 😉

Hallo zusammen,

nachdem ich es wieder bis zum letzten Moment aufgeschoben habe, gibt es heute drei Updates in einer E-Mail – soll ja keiner sagen ich würde ihn zuspammen 😉
Auslieferung von „Verhängnisvoller Kontakt“:
Die Auslieferung der E-Books habe ich ja schon im letzten Update erwähnt, jetzt sind auch alle gedruckten Bücher verschickt worden und soweit ich weiß auch angekommen, sowie auch das deutsche Audiobuch. 
Soweit so gut – des englische Audiobuch ist noch in Arbeit, wird aber auch bald geliefert.

Aussichten für 2025:

Der Entwurf für Buch 2 in der Trilogie ist zur Hälfte fertig – die Arbeit mit der Auslieferung und die Vorbereitung für die Version für den Handel war auf jeden Fall zeitraubender als gedacht … wieder was gelernt 😉
 Bis zur Start der neuen Kampagne wird es aber fertig geschrieben sein, wer der Kampagne noch nicht folgt: bitte hier klicken:

As you probably all know by now, this is my first book publication and production. And although I did everything I could to prepare for it well, I experienced just about every failure, bad luck and mishap that was on offer. 😉

But today I can proudly announce delivery has begun!

Die englische Ausgabe wird gerade gedruckt und sollte mit Glück auch noch in diesem Jahr in die Post gehen. 

Die Audiobücher hinken etwas hinterher, der Sprecher hatte eine fiese Erkältung, was uns ein wenig zurückgeworfen hat – aber es wird eifrig dran gearbeitet. 

So, das war es zumindest vor Weihnachten von mir, ich wünsche allen schöne Feiertage, ihr hört sicher noch einmal von mir bevor das Jahr zu Ende geht.

I waited a really long time to post this update because I was hoping that I could fill it with only good news and a surprise – but that didn't work out.

The bad:
Instead, I have the confirmation from the printer that the printed edition of the book for the German version will leave the printer on the 20th, and the English version only after Christmas. I'm sorry that the delivery didn't work out as planned for Christmas, and it will be sent as soon as possible, just when I get the books, everything else is already prepared.

The good:
After my formatting programme also had an update and thus a week of total failure, I am currently putting the finishing touches to the e-books so that they also contain all the wonderful images that the printed version has.
The German audio version has been recorded and we are currently editing it, so my technical incompetence is the only thing standing in the way of digital delivery for Christmas here – nothing that my helpers can't fix 😊
We are currently working on the English audio version and I am creating the e-book – I hope to be able to deliver the digital version in English for Christmas too.

And now – the surprise:
As compensation for the delayed printing, I'll tell you the surprise in advance:
the book will not only have the pictures with the characters on the front and back. We will also have a total of 34 black and white illustrations in the book to bring you even closer to the story. Here are two of them that will hopefully whet your appetite for more.

Hallo liebe Leser,
ich habe wirklich lange mit diesem Update gewartet, weil ich gehofft habe, dass ich es nur mit dem Guten und der Überraschung füllen könnte – aber das hat nicht geklappt.

Das Schlechte:
Stattdessen gibt es leider die Bestätigung von der Druckerei, dass die gedruckte Ausgabe des Buches für die deutsche Fassung am 20ten die Druckerei verlassen wird, die englische erst nach Weihnachten. Es tut mir leid, dass die Auslieferung nicht wie geplant zu Weihnachten geklappt hat und sie wird so schnell wie möglich erfolgen, sobald ich die Bücher bekomme, alles andere ist schon vorbereitet.

Das Gute:
Nachdem auch noch mein Formatierungsprogramm ein Update und damit eine Woche Totalausfall hatte, gebe ich gerade den E-Books den letzten Feinschliff, damit sie auch all die wunderbaren Bilder enthalten, die die gedruckte Version hat.
Die deutsche Audioversion ist eingesprochen und wir gerade geschnitten, somit steht der digitalen Auslieferung zu Weihnachten hier allenfalls mein technisches Unvermögen im Weg – also nichts, was meine Helfer nicht aus der Welt schaffen können 😊
Aktuell wird an der englischen Audioversion gearbeitet und ich erstelle das E-Book – ich hoffe auch auf Englisch zu Weihnachten den digitalen Teil liefern zu können.

Und jetzt – die Überraschung:
Als Entschädigung für den verspäteten Druck verrate ich euch jetzt vorab die Überraschung:
das Buch wird nicht nur vorne und hinten die Bilder mit den Charakteren haben. Wir werden auch insgesamt 34 schwarzweiß Illustrationen im Buch haben, um euch die Geschichte noch näher zu bringen. Hier sind zwei davon die euch hoffentlich Lust auf mehr machen.

Das nächste Update wird sich um die Auslieferung drehen, versprochen. Bis dahin

Dear readers,

I did it! 
The layout for the book in both languages is done and a final proof read for the English version is happening atm, the German version is final and I am waiting to receive a test print I ordered.
Once I get it I will take some pics and write another update :-)
The Oracle Cards came in too so we are only waiting for the bookmarks to have the physical items completely designed and ready for production.

The images with the character art will be printed in this special edition, one in the front and one in the back of the book and I also added a glossary and a list of characters. 
And the complete book will have black and white illustrations, 34 total. I can't wait for you to see them in the final book.

Time is running out but I am still determined to deliver the book to all of you for Christmas but it depends on some things I can't control - but I will do my best.

ich habe es geschafft! 
Das Layout für das Buch in beiden Sprachen ist fertig und die englische Version wird gerade ein letztes Mal Korrektur gelesen. Die deutsche Version ist fertig und ich warte auf einen Testdruck, den ich bestellt habe.
Sobald ich ihn habe, werde ich ein paar Fotos machen und ein weiteres Update schreiben :-)
Die Orakelkarten sind auch eingetroffen, sodass wir nur noch auf die Lesezeichen warten müssen, um die physischen Elemente vollständig zu gestalten und für die Produktion vorzubereiten.

Die Bilder mit den Charakteren werden in dieser Sonderausgabe gedruckt, eines vorne und eines hinten im Buch, und ich habe auch ein Glossar und eine Liste der Charaktere hinzugefügt. 
Das gesamte Buch wird außerdem 34 Schwarz-Weiß-Illustrationen enthalten. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, dass ihr sie im fertigen Buch seht.

Die Zeit wird knapp, aber ich bin immer noch entschlossen, das Buch zu Weihnachten an euch alle zu liefern. Das hängt von einigen Dingen ab, die ich nicht kontrollieren kann – aber ich werde mein Bestes tun.
