I mean, really?
I've spent the last few months finishing Raum Zeit, and yesterday it was finally done: all the corrections in, layout finished, all the illustrations in place, cover looking good, files uploaded... just download the backer list with the email addresses and then...
And then I saw it—something was amiss in the state of Denmark, to quote Hamlet 😉
And when I finally figured out what was wrong, it didn't make things any better: with all the work on the books (okay, and emigrating, which can be a bit distracting in the short term), I completely missed the fact that there was never a pledge manager for Book 2!
So last night I tried to set it up in panic mode – something I regularly fail at even in a Zen-like state of mind – only to give up at midnight. This morning I made at least a little progress – but as is now tradition, I've sent a request for help to BackerKit support.
However, since I have all the email addresses, I decided to just go ahead and deliver the e-books – and while I was at it, I did the same for the backers of Book 3.
Your books have been added to your BookFunnel library! To get your books, simply log in to the BookFunnel app or at my.bookfunnel.com with the email address you provided (or with your Kickstarter email address, depending on how you received the delivery email address). If you log in and your BookFunnel library is empty, log in to BookFunnel with your other email address to get your books.
Now it's on to the printed books—next week, I'll send both layouts to the printer for test prints, and I hope to be able to ship the books at the end of March or in April at the latest. At that point, we will also begin production of the audiobooks, which are currently on hold, but they will be available in the summer.
And since I don't plan to move again, hopefully things will be less chaotic with Book 3.

Kennt ihr dieses Gefühl? Wenn ihr etwas Wichtiges nach langer Zeit endlich geschafft habt und es nur noch … und dann stutzt, nochmal hinschaut, nachprüft, nochmal prüft, den Rechner neu startet, während ihr langsam bis hundert zählt … nur um bei der dritten Prüfung zu sehen, was schon beim ersten Mal klar war: ihr habt etwas so Elementares vergessen, dass … und dann kommt der Schrei, der die Katze vor Schreck die Wand hochjagt. `
Ich meine, echt jetzt?
Ich habe die letzten Monate damit verbracht Raum Zeit fertig zu stellen und gestern war es dann endlich soweit: alle Korrekturen drin, Layout erledigt, alle Illustrationen an ihrem Platz, Cover schick, Dateien hochgeladen … nur noch die Backerliste mit den E-Mail Addressen runterladen und schon … Und dann sah ich es – etwas stimmte nicht im Staate Dänemark, um mal die Chance zu nutzen, aus Hamlet zu zitieren 😉
Und als ich schließlich herausgefunden hatte, was nicht stimmte, machte es die Sache nicht besser: bei all der Arbeit an den Büchern (okay, und dem Auswandern, sowas kann schon mal kurzfristig ablenken) ist mir völlig entgangen, dass es für Buch 2 nie einen Pledge Manager gab!
Also habe ich den letzte Nacht versucht im Panikmodus aufzusetzen – etwas an dem ich auch in Zen mäßigem Gemütszustand regelmäßig scheitere – um es dann um Mitternacht aufzugeben. Heute Morgen kam ich zumindest ein wenig weiter – aber wie schon Tradition, jetzt liegt eine Hilfsanfrage beim Support von BackerKit.
Da ich aber alle E-Mail Addressen habe, habe ich beschlossen einfach schon mal die E-Books zu liefern – und da ich schon dabei war auch gleich für die Backer von Buch 3.
Eure Bücher wurden zu eurer BookFunnel-Bibliothek hinzugefügt! Um eure Bücher zu bekommen, loggt euch einfach mit der zuvor angegebenen E-Mail-Adresse (oder mit eurer Kickstarter-E-Mail-Adresse, je nachdem, wie ihr die E-Mail-Adresse für die Zustellung erhalten habt) in die BookFunnel-App oder unter my.bookfunnel.com ein. Wenn ihr euch einloggt und eure BookFunnel-Bibliothek leer ist, loggt euch mit eurer anderen E-Mail-Adresse bei BookFunnel ein, um eure Bücher zu bekommen.
Damit geht es jetzt weiter zu den gedruckten Büchern – in der nächsten Woche schicke ich beide Layouts an die Druckerei für die Testdrucke und ich hoffe die Bücher Ende März oder spätestens im April verschicken zu können. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt wir auch die Produktion der Audiobooks beginnen, da bin ich in der Warteschleife – aber die kommen dann im Sommer.
Und da ich nicht vorhabe nochmal umzuziehen geht es bei Buch 3 hoffentlich weniger chaotisch weiter.

The content is finished and unchanged.
For the new edition, I am revising the character images and the cover to match the current Space World style.
Book 2 – Space Time
The text is completely written.
The German version is in the final revision stage after proofreading.
Part of it is already in e-book layout, and I am working on the images with the illustrator at the same time.
Book 3 – Continuum
The cover and basic concept are in place, and the actual writing/revision process is underway.
If you are considering supporting Continuum (Book 3) in print form at a later date and are concerned about shipping costs, please contact me directly. For backers of Raum Zeit, I will look at each case individually and try to find a solution that feels fair to both sides – especially if Book 2 and Book 3 are to be shipped together.
Time frame (as of today):
E-books Book 1 & Book 2: The goal is to deliver them before the end of this year, in January at the latest.
Print Book 1 & Book 2: Test prints in January, delivery of the printed books expected in February.
Book 3 (e-book & print): Currently targeted for late summer.

Für die neue Ausgabe überarbeite ich die Charakterbilder und das Cover, damit alles zum aktuellen Space-World-Stil passt.
Buch 2 – Raum Zeit
Der Text ist komplett geschrieben.
Die deutsche Fassung ist in der letzten Überarbeitung nach dem Korrektorat.
Ein Teil ist bereits im E-Book-Layout, parallel arbeite ich mit der Illustratorin an den Bildern.
Buch 3 – Kontinuum
Cover und Grundkonzept stehen, der eigentliche Schreib-/Überarbeitungsprozess läuft an.
Wenn du darüber nachdenkst, Kontinuum (Buch 3) noch nachträglich in gedruckter Form zu unterstützen und dir wegen der Versandkosten Gedanken machst: Melde dich bitte direkt bei mir. Für Backer von Raum Zeit schaue ich mir solche Fälle einzeln an und versuche, eine Lösung zu finden, die sich für beide Seiten fair anfühlt – gerade, wenn Buch 2 und Buch 3 dann zusammen verschickt werden sollen.

Milestones: What happened so far... and what's next
In the beginning… there were a lot of words. Because I think, talk, and write—a lot. Always have. And for a long time, this was more of a constant threat to those around me than anything else—until fall 2023, when my wife insisted on knowing how one of my half-finished stories would continue. Which forced me to finally write a full book.
Turns out, it had to be three books—because the story (and its characters) needed way more space than I’d planned. Great. No problem. And hey, why not add that lyrics collection I had “almost finished” for years? (You know how it goes: “almost done” is just the visible tip of the iceberg.)
But once I got started, I couldn’t stop. And as the writing gained momentum, so did the idea of publishing. The first milestone came in September 2024 at Booktopia: Book 1 of the No Brainer trilogy – Dire Contact. Then in February 2025 came DELAY—with delays, chaos, and a countdown that ran backward. And in March 2025, Space Time followed… along with the announcement for the trilogy’s final book, coming this September with Printopia: Continuum.
That means: From September 2024 to September 2025 – four book campaigns. Plus all the books I had to write and edit in between. But hey, doable. Somehow. Sleep is overrated.
And yes, it was going okay – until the decision came to move… to Denmark. With wife, pets, two companies—and still writing, of course. On the road. Between moving boxes. Easy, right?
Well… not a problem. But definitely exhausting.
And that’s why I’m even more happy to finally write you an update that starts with something I rarely get to say: We can finally check off a few beautiful boxes.

Meilensteine: Was bisher geschah... und was kommt
Am Anfang waren ... sehr viele Worte, denn ich denke, rede und schreibe viel, schon immer. Und lange war das nur für mein engeres Umfeld eine stetige Bedrohung – bis zum Herbst 2023. Da verlangte meine Frau zu erfahren, wie eine der angefangenen Geschichten weitergeht, und ich sah mich gezwungen, endlich ein komplettes Buch zu schreiben.
Dabei stellte ich fest, dass es wohl drei Bücher werden mussten, da die Geschichte und ihre Charaktere viel mehr Raum wollten als ursprünglich angenommen. Wunderbar, kein Problem ... und hey, dann noch einen Lyrikband, das Projekt war ja auch schon "fast fertig" – was sich am Ende immer als die Spitze eines Eisbergs herausstellt, das kennt ihr sicher.
Aber als ich einmal angefangen hatte, konnte ich nicht mehr stoppen – und mit dem Schreiben entwickelte sich auch der Plan zur Veröffentlichung der Bücher. Startschuss war im September 2024 bei Booktopia: Buch 1 der No-Brainer-Trilogie Verhängnisvoller Kontakt. Darauf folgte im Februar 2025 mit Chaos und Verspätungen – und einem Countdown, der rückwärts lief: DELAY, und im März 2025 Buch 2: Raum Zeit … und die Ankündigung für Buch 3 und den Abschluss der Trilogie bei Printopia im September 2025.
Das bedeutet: Von September 2024 bis September 2025 – vier Buchkampagnen. Naja, und Bücher, die ich schreiben und überarbeiten musste. Aber okay, das geht alles … irgendwie. Schlaf ist überbewertet.
Und ja, es ging recht gut – bis zum Jahreswechsel der Plan gefasst wurde, doch von Deutschland nach Dänemark umzusiedeln. Mit Frau, Haustieren und zwei Firmen. Und dem Buchschreiben – das geht ja auch unterwegs und zwischen Kartons, kein Problem … oder?
Nein, ein Problem war es nicht. Aber verdammt anstrengend. Und auch deshalb bin ich so froh, euch endlich ein Update zu schreiben, in dem ich stolz sagen kann: Jetzt ist der Moment gekommen, ein paar wirklich schöne Haken zu setzen.

Organizing that on top of everything else is proving to be a bit more complicated than expected, but I'm really looking forward to the new location and the opportunities it will bring, including for my writing. But now to the important stuff: here finally comes the picture of Dr. Julia - I hope you like it.
The last few days of the campaign have begun and as you may have noticed, there hasn't been much movement in terms of backers. Therefore, I decided to unlock another character for everyone at the end of this campaign. Die letzten Tage der Kampagne sind angebrochen und wie ihr vielleicht bemerkt habt, gab es nicht mehr viel Bewegung was die Backerzahlen angeht. Daher habe ich mich entschlossen, einen weiteren Charakter - also ein Charakterbild zum Abschluss dieser Kampagne für alle freizuschalten.
