Payment issues
Hi all
Just a brief one - I know a few people are having issues with payments not completing on crowdfund pledges. As I understand it, this whole system is automated, so if a payment has failed then that is something you need to take up with your bank - the payment has been refused either because the funds are not available or because the bank has flagged the transaction as suspicious.
Backerkit will keep trying the cards, so if you have cleared it with your bank, it will eventually go through.
From my end of things, I'm afraid there is absolutely no way for me to insert myself into the payment process to help - for very sensible security/privacy reasons, I don't get to see your card details or reasons for failure etc.
If you've been notified of a failed payment, your best course of action is to contact your bank (if you're with the same bank as me, that will involve blocking out a whole morning!) and work it through with them.
I think this is a fairly normal state of affairs, which is why Backerkit advise us not to send out surveys until at least two weeks after the campaign closes, to give the payments time to trigger properly.

I'm back! Kind of... A holding notice.
Hi everyone
I am back from my week in Paris, where I intended to make some field recordings, write some more of the new show, and generally come back down to Earth and get my thoughts in order after the crowdfund.
BUT, it was 39 degrees in Paris. The apartment I was in had just a small desk fan and no AC. And it was at the top of a building. So, while it was a brutal 39 degrees outside (dropping to around 34 during the night!) it was a pretty toasty 42-45 degrees consistently in the apartment.
What this meant in practice is that, although I had a brilliant time (because Paris), I achieved nothing that I had intended to do. In addition, because I only slept a couple of hours a night, and despite drinking my body weight in water every few minutes, I have managed to attain a level of moderate heat exhaustion, probably linked to low potassium, which involves some quite intense spells of vertigo and nausea and no small amount of brain fog (writing this update is taking a LOT longer than it should!)
All of which is to say that I am back, but I am not yet usefully functioning. Questions and queries will get answered, as promised, and the pledge surveys will go out, but I may need a few days' grace to get my head back in the game.
Hope everyone who is in an affected area is managing the heat as well as possible.

THANK YOU!!
We're closed, after an hour and a bit of "extra time", which was unexpected.
Thank you to everyone who pledged, promoted, got involved and lead the cheering.
All the admin will be done over the next week or so (I'm heading to Paris next week to decompress, do some field recording, take some pictures and get into the script for Episode 2). In the meantime, please pat yourselves on the back for being part of a truly great community.
From now on, I don't know if we're hanging here, or on the Pleasant Green site - we'll figure all that out.
Have a great weekend, and thank you again.

A last-minute addition - STICKERS!
This is last-minute in the sense that I meant to do it a while back, and completely forgot. If you missed out on the mystery sticker set bonus at the beginning of the campaign, they are now available as add-ons.
The set will include:
The set will include:
- Department of Works logo
- Pendragon Club logo
- Red Hook Stories logo
And there will be several other as-yet-undecided designs drawn from past and future Lovecraft Investigations stories.
Yes, maybe even the tea-tray design.
If you're reading this after the campaign closes, fear not - when the surveys go out in a week or two, these will still be available to add to your basket at that point.

OK, hive mind...
I was about to wade through a bunch of scripts, and I still might, but I know a few people here seem to be obsessed with Barbara Sayers' tea-tray. It may play some part in the new season, but can anyone save me a bunch of time by telling me where else Kennedy saw that design later on? Yes, I know I wrote it, but it was a long time ago and I have forgotten!

To celebrate the successful conclusion of the campaign, I have just sent the script for Episode 1 off to the production team. You have no reason to know this, but the idea that I have already finished one of the scripts is going to come as a major shock to them.
