Self-portrait or FOLK? Both of course. It's always both!
Dearest Friend,
Despite the sunglasses, the creatures living in our hair, and a steady diet of Synak Bio-puffs, it's looking like our initial goal of shipping in May is going to have to be pushed back.
The drawings are approaching completion, the writing is building up momentum, but has a ways to go, and we have not yet begun layout. We're now hoping to ship in June.
We thought that we were built different, and that we could be the rare crowdfunding project that ships on time. But alas, we are, as always, more like the other girls than we like to admit.
A quick update, since it's been a minute since we've sent one.
All the surveys have been completed. Yay! Thank you! If you have shipping charges, or purchased add-ons, those charges will run closer to when shipping actually happens. We'll keep you posted.
We've been working on the broader narrative and setting that ties the FOLK together, and are excited about how that is developing!
A traveling city, floating through the inky void.
A wrecked space station, salvaged, and made mobile with the engines of hundreds of junked ships, full of secrets and surprises.
A handwritten note affixed to a reinforced door with a glob of omni-paste reads "Unstable wormhole anomaly, do not open."
An overworked engineer who's definitely, absolutely, going to deal with the anomaly (eventually). In the meantime, they are quite sure that the note will prevent any further incidents.

Local Pickup in Portland, OR
If you would like to save on shipping and pick up your rewards in Portland, OR, you need to select "Local Pickup" as your country, instead of "United States of America". This should set your shipping cost to $0. Once everything is printed, we will reach out to everyone who selected Local Pickup to arrange times and locations for pickup.
Timeline
Our goal is to have everything printed and begin shipping by the end of May 2025. We will keep you updated with our progress and let you know if that estimate changes!

If you receive your survey in this initial batch, it would be a tremendous help to us for you to fill it out promptly, and to ask any questions you may have about it, so that we can fix any issues before sending out the rest of the surveys!
