PDF only backers: you should have received download links a while ago. If you didn't, please reach out.
Shipped zine backers: your zines have been shipped, and you should have received an email with a tracking number.
Local pickup backers: your zines are ready! I am putting pickup instructions in the "backer only content" section of this update. Please reach out at [email protected] if you have any questions.
You should be receiving a separate email with download links to download both FOLK (Volume I) and Travelers of the Inky Void!
If you don't receive the link, or have any trouble with the download, please let us know! As noted in our previous update, the files for the physical zine have been sent to the printer! While the printer is printing, we will be finalizing the risograph print and hand-drawn Folk rewards. Here's a sneak peek of the cover!
Just a very quick note to let you all know that we have sent Folk to the printer! Expect more updates coming soon as we begin distributing PDFs, give updates on the printing timeline, etc.
If you have a shipping charge, or ordered any add-ons, those will be charged now (this does not apply to digital backers and folks doing local pickup).
Self-portrait or FOLK? Both of course. It's always both!
Dearest Friend,
Despite the sunglasses, the creatures living in our hair, and a steady diet of Synak Bio-puffs, it's looking like our initial goal of shipping in May is going to have to be pushed back.
The drawings are approaching completion, the writing is building up momentum, but has a ways to go, and we have not yet begun layout. We're now hoping to ship in June.
We thought that we were built different, and that we could be the rare crowdfunding project that ships on time. But alas, we are, as always, more like the other girls than we like to admit.
A quick update, since it's been a minute since we've sent one.
All the surveys have been completed. Yay! Thank you! If you have shipping charges, or purchased add-ons, those charges will run closer to when shipping actually happens. We'll keep you posted.
We've been working on the broader narrative and setting that ties the FOLK together, and are excited about how that is developing!
A traveling city, floating through the inky void.
A wrecked space station, salvaged, and made mobile with the engines of hundreds of junked ships, full of secrets and surprises.
A handwritten note affixed to a reinforced door with a glob of omni-paste reads "Unstable wormhole anomaly, do not open."
An overworked engineer who's definitely, absolutely, going to deal with the anomaly (eventually). In the meantime, they are quite sure that the note will prevent any further incidents.
