We’re already deep behind enemy lines, so let’s take a moment to review what we’ve captured and what lies ahead of our unit.

🎖️ Follow-up Stretch Goal: Tables Inside the Cover
We’ve almost unlocked two new tables which will be printed inside the book’s cover:

1) 🎒 “The Things They Carried” random loot table

This d100 table generates random loot found on the bodies of soldiers and miners. Some items will be useful, while others are designed to evoke the bleak atmosphere of war. The table’s name comes from the excellent Vietnam War book by Tim O’Brien, which I also quoted on my teaser page:

“War is hell, but that's not the half of it, because war is also mystery and terror and adventure and courage and discovery and holiness and pity and despair and longing and love. War is nasty; war is fun. War is thrilling; war is drudgery. War makes you a man; war makes you dead.”

If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it. It’s a powerful commentary on the Vietnam War from someone who was there. And a goddamn good read.

2) 😱 Panic Table
Inspired by Magnus Galaxy’s Cleaning of Prison Station Echo, this specific Panic Table focuses on the psychological struggles of soldiers in combat. It’s designed to add tension and narrative depth that is specificaly tailored to the fate of a bullet catcher - the likes your players wil be portraying.

🔮 Upcoming Achievements

We’re closing in on two "quality of life" improvements for the book and one game prop:

📒 Enhanced Book Quality
This upgrade includes heavier paper for the premium feel, cover protection film to make it more durable, and potentially wire-bound binding to give the book a more “military document” vibe. I’m still discussing this with my fulfillment partner to see if it’s viable - stay tuned for updates!
🎨 More Art
While I’m creating most of the artwork myself, I’d love to commission several pieces from other artists to add variety to it and make the book even more enjoyable to flip through.
💳 Digital Cards
A pack of digital ID-style cards featuring all the character portraits from the book, similar to the Mothership Month character cards from the Supply Drop bonus. Bellow is first concept for that. Any ideas what you would like there? I have at least one empty field there :D
