Hey all! Just checking in to let you know that stuff is getting chipped away at. There's lots of little things happening and I don't have many details to share on each individual one but they still make a heck of a pile, so:
All regular pins and many recolors are available for pre-order on Lairbrew.com!If you are looking for an alt. color pin that isn't up, I ordered few enough of those that I will need to grade the shipment before I can put any additional ones up for sale.
Gold line gator and chicken stickers have arrived! I will try to remember to snap photos before the next update, but they turned out really nice.
All other stickers are currently in manufacturing. I have not heard back on them in a moment and plan to check in with them soon.
Many pins have not begun manufacturing. They are still in the proof review stage. I have been continually told I will have them before July, but I am very much doubting that at this stage.
Currently 25 pins have been readied for production out of the over 40 designs. More than halfway there, but not as far along as I would have preferred to have going by now.
Pin Samples
Last time I shared some unfinished pins that didn't have screen printing or anything like that done. Here's some more, now with screen printing in some cases! Also a little reminder that many of these pin sets are B I G . That's why each set was as high a cost as it was. The raptor is among the largest because of the pose, since pins are sized specifically to look proportional to one another's snacks. For the most part the started at 2.5in and they were sized up or down (usually up) to make sure the faces were the correct size for the meats.
Not everything turned out perfect. Here are a couple problem pins. For the unicorn, they moved forward with some incorrect layers on and didn't run a proof by me so it has a lot that is getting changed- for example it having 2 different tail ends. The eyes will also be recessed metal like the ear and hooves, not bright orange. For the CMYK potion dragon, screenprinting light yellow on black enamel didn't go down so hot. It is being changed to black screenprinting on yellow enamel instead!
Here's the error cannibal unicorn with a 2-bone meat attached. The meat is upside down, but part of the fun is you'll be able to attach it however you'd like!

I want to make some affordable, adorable little plush that are nice enough to display but fun feeling enough to mess with. They're 4 and a half inches tall, have glass beads filling their dumpy lil bods, and they should have a pretty low price point, though what that will be will depend on transport prices by the time I finally get to make them. I know a lot of you here will appreciate the gnawesome predator cameos! They're done in the same style as the Bantam Burials I'm working on for Deadweights.
Anyway! I'm focusing on Big Brew Bash fulfillment right now, but whenever I get significant news I'll still come over here to share it. I'll see you then!
Manufacturing has been in pre-production for a little bit now! Things have been progressing smoothly enough that I haven't had a lot to share. I did want to apologize though- I found an update in the drafts that I thought I'd posted a month ago but it apparently did not actually go up! I had no idea I'd left you all in the dark by accident for so long. I promise not much was missed! Just the pre-order shop getting shuttered and pins getting ordered.
Here's some pantone/enamel tests with a few pins! These have no screen printing, grinding, or electroplating. Poor Guz looks so naked... These are popular pins with difficult to match colors, so making samples of them is important, but most won't be tested in this way.
Carrion Baggage: Second Bite is ABOUT TO END!! Tuesday is the final day and several designs are unlocked, so please consider taking a peak if this sort of thing interests you!

Check the site in the future if you don't already see the design you're after up, I'm having to upload them in small batches. All the base pins and limited numbers of the recolors will be available through our website, and they will go to select conventions with us! The recolors are getting very few made except for the most popular variants (albino gator, black werewolf,) but I will hopefully have enough of the others for a good long time.

I plan to close the pre-order store soon to make sure I can lock numbers in and get production going on the freshly unlocked designs. We're entering the quiet period where we're just waiting for manufacturing to wrap up, so expect things to be quiet around here for awhile. It's time for me to be concentrating on Big Brew Bash fulfillment which is a very labor-intensive process since everything is being hand stuffed/sewn and I have hundreds to do. I've also got my currently running campaign to be keeping an eye on!

Just a quick one today! The add-on pins that are up for unlock in the surveys/pre-order store all have sketches now! Those that had the super rough sketches before now have more refined ones, and the completely blank ones have equally refined sketches for the most part- all except the cockatrice, since I left that one for last and my arm is kinda dying at the moment haha. So I will probably have to do a LOT of touching up to it. But overall I'm happy with these.
Enough add-ons have been gotten via survey that I was able to adjust down the minimum order number for many of these designs! A lot of them range from nearly halfway there to over halfway there, so consider giving them a look. I think my favorite might be the african wild dog. I hadn't drawn one since high school and had fully forgotten how blocky they are other than their big ol radar dish ears.

We ended up with 39 different pins that I have to go through and make sure everything is absolutely ready for. That's crazy! Thank you all for helping me put enamel pins in to the rotation of creative stuff I get to do.

I decided to release the Domestic Dog pin set, as well as the Brown Chickens and Black Chickens. They can be selected as a pin set on your survey!
There were a few stretch goals that were not unlocked! Those are now available as individual add-ons to give them a second chance. If enough are ordered they will become available! These include the Dark Coyote, Orange Shark, White Possum, and White Lion.
2 designs are available as a special finish of sticker! Both the White Chicken and Albino Gator can be unlocked as gold lined stickers. If you wanted one of those but couldn't afford a pin they're a cheaper option!

There are a bunch of new pin ideas that I was asked for or really wanted to do but knew wouldn't work out in the regular campaign! They can be add-ons for your surveys for combined shipping or purchased in the pre-order store if you'd like them to ship separate. They all have different ordering goals based on the size and complexity they are likely to require. Not all of them have sketches at the time of this posting, but that will change soon enough, I just didn't want to delay surveys for them. These include:
Throughout Gnawesome Predators and all of February I've been chugging away at preparing my next campaign. It will be launching on March 2nd which is not that far away! If you have any interest in practical plush or novelty bags that are big enough to use as a daily wear item you're likely to find something you like there. Or if you'd rather get a plush keychain of some meats those will be available too. If you become a reserve backer you will get a free plush keychain with your pledge reward!

I was invited to participate in an event called TRIBUTES which is all about showing love to games the creators enjoy. Many of us are going the nostalgic route, including me. Mine will be about a bear and bird you could say were instrumental to my childhood. Yes, that was awful, please let me get it out of my system now. Jiggy Jam will be going live in November! You'll be able to find the rest of TRIBUTES here once the page is working, but I don't believe it is currently. I don't do a lot of fan stuff, so I'm excited to give it a go!
Sooner than Jiggy Jam will be a very self indulgent project: A Fancier's Guide to Cockatrices! I'll be taking real chicken breeds and combining them with real snake species, then using the temperaments, behaviors, or appearances to match them up. One made of parts I'm sure most of you are familiar with is a silkie chicken + ball python to make the seemingly perfect pet cockatrice! There will be bits of lore based on their real life counterparts too. If that sounds up your alley please give it a look!

Pintopia is entering the last 48 hours! That means campaign exclusives (stickers, separate meat magnets) are about to go away. We're also down to our last chance to unlock the final extended stretch goals to add all the pin variants and the domestic dog!

Funding has backslid. We've lost orange shark and dark coyote.
We're still close enough that I do plan to produce the golden bear despite us being a bit under!
Extras will be available in my shop after the campaign is fulfilled, but I will be basing my stock numbers on the popularity of each pin among backers, so some of them might not have a ton of leftover pins. Backing remains the best way to guarantee you get the pin you want- especially for the higher tier variants!
What's next?
With Pintopia winding down and Lunar New Year approaching for my manufacturers I'm about to be focusing on getting ready for Carrion Baggage: Second Bite since it launches in less than a month! Return backers will be getting a mini pin, and reserve backers will be getting a free plush keychain. If you have any interest in interesting bags with tons of space you might like what I have! You'll probably recognize some familiar meat designs among them.
I'm absolutely exhausted, we got home at around 5am this morning after a work week at a con, and I have a ton of work to catch up on. I look forward to finally bringing these pins to life for y'all and am sorry to not have oodles to say but even if we don't make those final stretch goals I am still beyond grateful for all the support you've shown and how far we've gotten- we're well beyond anything I would have imagined!
