Project Update: Surveys are out!
We're so close!
Paperbacks and hardbacks are in production, and surveys are going out this week.
I'm still waiting on one file before I can finalize production for the special editions. Guys, this is weird; I've worked with this professional team for years and they've always been reliable and fantastic, and now I've been waiting on this for many weeks. I can do many publishing tasks myself, but I don't like to kludge what should be beautiful art, and especially not when I've already contracted with someone to do it for a sizeable chunk of money. I am so sorry for the delay and trust me, no one is more agitated about this than I am. I'll let you know when I have what I need and we can start the special edition printers.
When you begin your surveys, you might be alarmed at seeing a high shipping cost initially -- but do not panic! The interface might default to a really high rate until you reach the end of your survey and it re-calculates to a more accurate number. Shipping includes both tracking and insurance, which is why this time I'm not using the USPS media rate. Given recent delivery experiences, this is best. You'll be able to see your package all the way to your door, and if it goes wrong, it's insured and we can replace it!
Local pickup should be available at Gen Con, or perhaps another event -- contact me if you want to ask. If you would like to pick up your rewards in person, choose "local pickup" from the Country menu in your survey.
Important note: Due to the above-mentioned delay, the special editions will be the latest in production and transit, and I cannot guarantee they will arrive in time for pickup at Gen Con. If you pledged or added special edition rewards, please do not rely upon local pick up at Gen Con. If you choose this option and the books do not arrive in time, there will be an additional shipping charge to send them out. But I am doing my best! and we can cross our fingers that they'll ship quickly.
