Dear fantastic backers of Ruby and the Off-Road Rally!
We’ve reached a major milestone in our publishing rally—our final printing invoice has been paid, and Ruby and Scout are now packed snugly in their cartons and revving up for the transoceanic trek to the East Coast of the U.S.
It’s been a long and winding road since we crossed the starting line with our successful BackerKit campaign, but we’re now in the final stretch of this adventure!
Like every rally, some twists and turns were expected, but we ended up staying a bit longer at some checkpoints than we bargained for.
Thanks to your patience and unwavering support, we are approaching the finish line—writing, editing, illustrating, and printing—without stalling out.
And while our first book is cruising toward the checkered flag, we haven’t taken our foot off the gas.🏎️
🛠️ Book #2 is currently with Alvin in the illustration garage getting polished up, ✍️ And the text for Book #3 is getting a final tune-up before being sent to our editor.

We’re thrilled to announce that we just approved the first mass print run for Ruby and the Off-Road Rally!
We received a video of our second proof copy from the printer, and wow! We LOVE how it turned out! (See below for the link to the video.)
If you look closely, you’ll see the special UV spot gloss on the cover, making Ruby’s name, eyes, and headlights shine like the rally star she is.
This is actually our second proof copy because we noticed that the cover paper stock was thinner than we wanted.
This is a THICK book (42 pages), and we felt that Ruby deserves a cover that’s just as strong and durable as she is! We upgraded to a sturdier paper stock, and you'll be able to feel the difference in the quality.
Now that we’ve officially given the green light, the production team is off to the races with the full print run!
The entire process can take up to 9 weeks, so we still have a ways to go, but each step forward is a step in the right direction.
I’ve also asked the printer to send a behind-the-scenes video of Ruby in action on the production line—and you better believe I’ll be sharing it with you the moment it lands in my inbox.
