The illustration phase of Ruby and the Off-Road Rally is nearly complete! We just received an email from Alvin saying he is putting the finishing touches on the front and end pages.

We are also looking for a fun font that captures the adventure of the rally while still being kid-friendly (not an easy task, believe it or not).

We hope the start of 2025 has been going well for you!

Ruby and Scout are still being illustrated by our talented illustrator, Alvin Adhi.

He is putting the final touches on the customized vehicles requested by 13 of our amazing backers!

We are looking forward to seeing the book in the fully illustrated phase, as this is almost always the most exciting part of a children's book!

Backers can preview one of Alvin's illustrations of Ruby and Scout relaxing under the twinkling night desert sky after training for the rally.

Julie just finished the educational materials so Ruby and the Off-Road Rally can be utilized in primary classrooms!

When Alvin Adhi agreed to illustrate Ruby and the Off-Road Rally, we knew we were in good hands. 

Not only is Alvin incredibly talented, but he is very attentive to the details and has brought fun facial expressions to the characters.

Things are moving quickly with the book, and we are excited to see how Ruby and Scout come to life while off-roading in the desert.

Since the end of the campaign, we have been working hard with our editor to get Ruby's story into the best shape possible, and our words are in the 3rd (and final) round of edits. After this, we will storyboard the text and send it to Alvin Adhi for illustration.

Storyboarding is a great way for us to shape the scenes and craft how the book will be read with full spreads, single pages, and spot illustrations. There are so many different ways to tell a story, and it starts to come to life with the storyboard.

SURVEYS
We wanted to give you a heads up that surveys will be coming out soon to collect your information regarding what names you'd like included in the book (if your reward tier included it), and as well as the shipping address where you'd like your physical rewards mailed to.

Since we are collecting information that will be incorporated into the book, we need the surveys completed as soon as possible. Don't worry - you will have a chance to update your shipping address before we ship anything out.
