We’re thrilled to announce that we just approved the first mass print run for Ruby and the Off-Road Rally!
We received a video of our second proof copy from the printer, and wow! We LOVE how it turned out! (See below for the link to the video.)
If you look closely, you’ll see the special UV spot gloss on the cover, making Ruby’s name, eyes, and headlights shine like the rally star she is.
This is actually our second proof copy because we noticed that the cover paper stock was thinner than we wanted.
This is a THICK book (42 pages), and we felt that Ruby deserves a cover that’s just as strong and durable as she is! We upgraded to a sturdier paper stock, and you'll be able to feel the difference in the quality.
Now that we’ve officially given the green light, the production team is off to the races with the full print run!
The entire process can take up to 9 weeks, so we still have a ways to go, but each step forward is a step in the right direction.
I’ve also asked the printer to send a behind-the-scenes video of Ruby in action on the production line—and you better believe I’ll be sharing it with you the moment it lands in my inbox.
