About world news!
All us toy designers and other small business owners are very nervous about the trade war going on. I have spent a lot of my life living in Asia and continue to work with Asia every day, especially my Chinese partners who help produce my plushies. We have been talking a lot the past week and putting plans in place in case for various scenarios. For now, all the Snug-Alongs are in production, so we are not importing them yet, and who knows what the situation will be when it is time to bring them home. For all the turmoil, we artists and manufacturers have banded together as an international team in cooperation and mutual understanding and I am extremely grateful to them.
FAQs -Can you add an option in pledge manager to donate to help offset rising costs due to tariffs and other issues? -Right now that is not an option Backerkit offers. If the worst comes to pass and we need donations to cover costs, I will post here with requests for donations. Our costs have already risen regardless and you're always free to offer support at Ko-fi.com/sunnycritters !
-Will costs rise for customers? / Will I have to pay extra in case of unforeseen charges? -That is something not in my control, though I will personally not be charging extra. All extra funds raised will be on a voluntary basis. I cannot speak for how each country's government may respond to the current trade war and what costs will be put on customers.
