First, I'm delighted to say that the final part of the puzzle is in place - Blood In The Margins has arrived!

I've spent this morning setting up the pledge manager with correct weights for all the items and I've sent it off to review. As soon as that's approved by Backerkit - which they say can take up to 2 days - I'll be able to send surveys out. These will allow you to select any add-ons you might want and provide your shipping address.

Once surveys are out I plan to leave them open for two weeks to give people time to fill them out. I'll send out reminders. Once they close I'll charge for shipping, and then I'll be able to get the physical books out to you.

Thanks again for your support on this project! I'm really excited to put these books in your hands.

Hi everyone!

A quick update for you. Around 95% of you have now completed surveys, which is great, and you should have had a notification that orders have been locked. Because I'm charging shipping after locking orders, I have to wait for Backerkit to flip a switch on the back end to allow me to do that. I've emailed to request that they do it, and it should happen in the next day or two. As soon as I'm able to I'll charge for shipping, and then we'll start getting the books out of the door! I'll also send any outstanding digitial rewards from pledge manager add-ons at that point.

I hope you're doing well! As of this morning 84% of surveys have been completed, which is fantastic. Getting your responses in makes my job a lot easier, so thank you.

I'll be locking orders in a week's time, at which point I'll be able to get final shipping rates for physical rewards so that I can charge cards and get the books sent out to you. If you haven't filled out your survey yet, please do so. You backed for these rewards and this is the only way to make sure you get them!

Hi everyone,

This morning I've sent out surveys through Backerkit's pledge manager. Filling this out allows you to give me your shipping address so that I can actually send you your rewards.

 The surveys have gone out a little later than I planned after sending the Smoke Test. Backerkit recommends waiting until 50% of the Smoke Test surveys have been completed to flag any errors or issues with the surveys. At the time of writing this update, only 5 people have completed the survey from the smoke test, but I don't want to leave things hanging any longer.

I'm leaving the surveys open for the next two weeks, and then I'll charge cards and start fulfilment some time around the 17th of June. I'll send out reminders once a week, but please try to fill out your survey sooner rather than later so that you can actually get your books! You pledged for these rewards, and completing your order is the only way for you to get them.

Hi everyone,
It's just been brought to my attention that the language on the survey referring to shipping being charged later is confusing for people who only have digital rewards (and therefore shouldn't be paying shipping). This is the sort of oversight that the Smoke Test is designed to flag up but unfortunately it was missed.

This is just an update to assure you that if you only have digital rewards, you won't be charged shipping later. I don't think I can change the language of the surveys now that they've all gone out, but I'll reach out to Backerkit and see if there's any way to rectify this just to put you at ease. 

Sorry for the mistake with this one, but you don't need to worry about it. If you don't have physical items in your cart, you won't be charged shipping, since there's nothing to ship.
