We are very pleased to say that progress continues on both Legacy of Kain: The Book of Nosgoth and Legacy of Kain: Scourge of the Sarafan and we are closer than ever to making this project a reality.
Since our last update, Legacy of Kain: Scourge of the Sarafan has been through its last checks and final approvals, and is now being prepared for print. We expect to send it off to the printers at the end of the month. Other items like the dice and dice bag have been in production for awhile so that everything is ready at a similar time.
Legacy of Kain: The Book of Nosgoth is now also in an excellent place, with a complete book draft now being refined ahead of sharing with Crystal Dynamics for final approvals. All being well, we expect to send The Book of Nosgoth off to the printers at the end of next month.
We are awaiting an updated schedule from our print partners based on the plans above, and will update you in the next week or two once we have firmer dates. We know that Late September shipping isn’t going to be feasible, but we are doing all we can to get it as close as possible to that estimate. There are external factors that can always influence the dates we communicate, but we are keen to provide as accurate a picture as we can with you.
We are really excited to get Legacy of Kain: The Book of Nosgoth and Legacy of Kain: Scourge of the Sarafan into your hands. It’s been a long journey, but the finish line is in sight and we are grateful to you all for your support.

We have seen the comments regarding pledges upgrades and have made some changes on the backend to allow upgrades to the Deluxe edition too. This should be available to you now by clicking on the reward under ‘Your Pledge Level’, as seen below:

For those of you who backed us early with your Early Bird options, it’s a little more convoluted to enable upgrades at the Early Bird pricing. Please reach out to us in the comments and we will facilitate that change manually for you!
We have enabled Early Bird Add-On prices for those who previously backed an Early Bird tier. That should be available to you as normal through the Pre-Order Store/Survey.

We are keen to keep you as updated as we can throughout the development and production process. We know how long fans have waited for anything Legacy of Kain related, and we know how important it is to fans of the franchise that it is treated with the care and attention it deserves. Our mission is aligned here!
In a previous update, some raised concerns that the photos indicated we aren’t as far along as people would expect. We want to allay any fears here. We are still on track to ship in 2026, and these production steps are a normal part of our process at this stage. With that said, we do acknowledge that Q2 is fast approaching and we do need to provide a shipping update. In order to make this the very best it can be, we will need more time. Ordinarily, we would wait until we have a more concrete date before sharing news of a delay, however in the interest of keeping you updated and bringing you on the journey with us, we will be moving shipping to late Q3 2026. As we continue to progress with all aspects of the project, we will be able to provide a more accurate window of time.

This is a short update just to let you know we continue to make progress on both Legacy of Kain: The Book of Nosgoth and Legacy of Kain: Scourge of the Sarafan, and we will have a larger update for you the week commencing 6th April.

It’s been a busy couple of months working on the Book of Nosgoth and Scourge of the Sarafan TTRPG and we are excited to share some developments with you.
To kick things off, we’d like to celebrate our Legacy of Kain: Scourge of the Sarafan writer, Leo Hunt, who won gold last month at the ENNIE Awards for his previous work on The Shrike. The ENNIE Awards are a prestigious fan-based celebration of excellence in tabletop roleplaying gaming, and Leo is a very worthy winner. We always knew we were in good hands with Leo at the helm, and he has been doing a remarkable job developing Legacy of Kain: Scourge of the Sarafan.
We’ve made fantastic progress on the TTRPG and have been working closely with Crystal Dynamics and The Ancient’s Den to ensure it stays true to the series whilst also offering room for fans to get creative with the world and its inhabitants. We aim to have a complete first draft of Legacy of Kain: Scourge of the Sarafan in the next few weeks!

Last time around we announced that we are collaborating with The Ancient’s Den. This has been a fantastic partnership — their love of the franchise and their attention to detail has been incredible. It’s been such a joy to work alongside them, and it became clearer as time went by that it would be a missed opportunity not to involve them more heavily in Legacy of Kain: The Book of Nosgoth. Having spent years documenting and detailing everything Legacy of Kain, who better to write about it all in the official encyclopedia? The Ancient’s Den are now the primary writers on the encyclopedia, working very closely with Crystal Dynamics, Lost In Cult and Cook and Becker to produce a comprehensive and accurate account of Nosgoth!

Our focus throughout this process has been to do right by Legacy of Kain and the people who hold it dear. As the very first official encyclopedia and tabletop role-playing game, there are many nuances to consider. We are thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to really dig into the lore, and the chance to work alongside the team at Crystal Dynamics to explore what’s possible has been magnificent.
To ensure we do it justice, we are going to need a bit of extra time and, as such, we are targeting Q2 2026 for shipping, rather than the aforementioned Q1 2026. Whilst we know that this will be disappointing news, we know that what we are developing is such a collective celebration of Legacy of Kain and this slight additional time will allow us to fully realise our ambitions for this project.

A Legacy of Kain : Defiance physical edition was announced on PS5, Switch and Xbox for the 13th of november ! Standard and Deluxe editions available. We have to wait a little bit more for the pre-order to be open.
I'm gonna post my message here too. I went to the FAQ section, clicked on Ask a Question, made sure I directed it to Lost in Cult, and posted the following:

Myself and the other backers are hoping for an update on the status of the project, including a possible play test ready copy of the TTRPG, the dice, the dice bag, any of the other add-ons/unlocks, the approved appearance of the two books, the collector's/complete edition box, etc.
Please, remember, we were burned by BitBot's The Dead Shall Rise Kickstarter campaign, and some of the community are starting to feel similarly about this campaign. If you all communicate, regularly, on a schedule, with the community, you can avoid the same feelings being directed at you all.
I would say an update monthly would be good, but I know some of the community are seeking more frequent updates. But the key, I think is in providing a timeline for contacts, so that we know when to expect to see you all in the conversations, and when to expect to see updates.
