This is a fun spell and like many spells found within the prized tome the PCs seek out in this adventure, this one allows the players to be a bit creative when/if their casters are of high enough level.

For a SUGGESTED PLAYER HANDOUT OR PROP that can be implemented into game play, and if the DM reading this happens to have some extra time, they may make an attempt to create their own *INKBLOT IMAGES by following the steps shown on this video. You do not need to use a string to create these. You can use random, unconscious strokes with a regular brush, or just use an eye dropper and randomly drop paint globs on one side of the paper. Wow, sorry for this huge link, but an ultra-short and to the point (no fluff) video!

You can also use other colors (paints) other than black. A great paint for creating these inkblots is Liquitex’s Acrylic Inks. Just remember to shake them up thoroughly and then use the dropper to drop RANDOM INK BLOTS on one side of the paper, then fold together and see what you get.  

Don’t be discouraged if you do not consistently create skulls and demons and stuff! ; ) You may find you will create some interesting and new breeds of GIANT INSECTS, though.

*Please note, the images created utilizing this method tend to be quite ABSTRACT. Attempts to create SPECIFIC images are difficult to produce, and riveting images that may inspire magical manifestations for the DM’s campaign will usually come about due to “happy accidents.”

The text on page 1 is a “hidden” magical text that may be DECIPHERED by the wizard. IT HAS A HIDDEN RULE THAT HE OR SHE CAN APPLY TO ENHANCE THE SPELL!

I did not create these (not the video either) but just so you can get a glimpse of the possibilities. I do not know if these were created via Ai, so I’m not pumping Ai at all. I’m just showing you the multitudes of images that are possible FOR YOU TO CREATE if you choose. Lots of demons in these samples! : O
