I really want to thank all 144 of you who supported this project and pledged to make it happen! The whole team is truly so grateful for you all. I know I've been saying it for a couple days now, but I don't think we will get funded this time (we would need to double our amount in only a day...I never had to cut it so close with so little time in past campaigns so yeah, I think this won't see the light of day at this moment)
We will see if we relaunch down the line or change things to fund this at a later date under a different format or by story or something else. I am usually not a big fan of crowdfunding things separately, especially for short stories like this where delivering the whole anthology at once makes more sense in my opinion, but we'll see. It would be cool to see this be released into the world at some point because these tales are really fun and look amazing haha
Sometimes things don't work out as planned and it's nobody's fault, really. It's just not in the cards for whatever reason. I don't think we will be able to get this project funded before the clock runs out (although a miracle is still possible, I guess!)
I have to say a big thank you to every single one of you who supported us and believed in this project. We do believe more queer stories deserve to be put out there and joy is a powerful sentiment that should be spread more. It's my third time crowdfunding a comics and it will be the first time it doesn't get funded. I'm sad for sure, but I'm more sad for the artists involved who I know all had a blast working on these stories and were thrilled at the prospect of finishing them.
I will see if there's a way I could relaunch this in the future, but since I don't feel like funding each story individually is a fun thing to do, I have to go back to the drawing table (figuratively speaking in my case because I'm definitely no good at drawing haha)
Thank you for being around. I'm certainly not done creating, nor collaborating with amazing artists and human beings.
We refuse to abandon because these stories mean a lot to us. And for this last push, we want to announce that the amazing, artist extraordinaire, Skylar Patridge, will draw an exclusive 🔥🔥🔥 piece that will be added as a print to every physical pledge as soon as we get funded!
Want more sexy queer art? Skylar is excited to put her own spin on our Medusa so don't miss this opportunity!
For those of you who might not be familiar with Skylar's work, here is her bio:
Skylar Patridge is a comic creator, artist & illustrator living in New Mexico. She has done work for DC, Image, Marvel, BOOM!, Archie, Dark Horse, IDW & many more. She has done cover & interior illustration work for both comic & book markets as well as label design for Iconic Wine. Most notably, she has worked on ACTION COMICS and SUPERGIRL for DC Comics and is a co-creator & artist on FINDERS//KEEPERS from Image Comics. She is currently working on more projects with DC & continuing work on two original series.
We absolutely love Skylar's work and are thrilled to offer this to our backers!
Thanks to all 117 of you who are supporting us and this anthology. We appreciate every single one of you💖
It's us again! We have A WEEK left in this campaign and there's now more than 110 of you who supported our fun queer monster romance anthology. We want to thank you all for pledging, sharing, spreading the word however you can, it means a lot to the whole team!
We still have leaps to go, but we want to believe in miracles. Do you?👀 If you've been on the fence before, now is your chance to support all these amazing artists and make sure they can bring these stories to life.
Speaking of artists, in our line-up we have Jaws Stone who is a beloved artist by so many (with reason, they are SO GOOD!) and it's extremely rare that Jaws jumps on board comics projects like this. Interior pages by Jaws are like a treasure tbh. If you'd like to make sure Jaws' pages see the light of day, help us get this anthology funded :) Jaws (and all the artists) are ready to finish their pages as soon as we reach our goal!
Here's a little tease at some thumbnails from a page by them.
Just like us, we're pretty sure you need this story (and the others) in your life!
Have a nice weekend everyone and be kind to each other, MH & the whole Mythical Team
We're not going to lie, we're entering the last stretch of this campaign (10 days to go) and we are about 1/3 funded which means that we still have leaps to go BUT we believe we can still make it with your help.
If you've been on the fence to support our anthology, now is your chance to make sure that all these amazing artists can continue working on these stories and that more queer storylines see the light of day. It is said often, but it's true: indie creators like us need all the support they can get especially with how things are going, and we wish it wasn't like that but it sadly is.
We're all in the same boat and we decided to put our hearts out there to tell these stories because we think representation is essential and joy is important.
We know things are difficult for everyone lately, so if you like the project but can't pledge, sharing goes a long way to us to spread the word because algorithms are clearly not our friends!
And since this probably sounded a bit heavy up there, here is some thumbnails for some of Jonah's pages. Funding this campaign would allow them to finish them and for people to read this awesome tale about our pansexual demon dealing with proverbial demons of their own!
