The sequel is here! Mummy and Dullahan have carried over, and a bunch of new designs have joined them. These pins will only be available as individual choice during the campaign run, and as gacha spins during and after.
Welcome to Midnight Springs' Monster Girl Gacha (part 2)!
This is a gacha campaign primarily - which means if you don't pay to get a specific pin individually, you will receive standard-grade pins at random out of the unlocked designs!
Gacha machines are like blind bags but a little capsule instead!
I'm not going to be running any enamel-pin-centric campaigns after this one. That was originally my goal with the prior one, but I know a lot of people including myself were bummed Dullahan and Mummy didn't make it in Early Summerween, so I carried them over here!
Additionally, I worked on the rest of the monster girl designs from scratch between then and now. While I'm not in a group collab this time, I am in a cross-collab with 1 other campaign (more info below!!)
Returning backers:
Every returning backer receives this bat mini pin:
It's a pair bat to the hot pink one from the first campaign! 🦇
Early bird backers:
Early bird backers receive a 3.5" glitter holographic sticker of Golem, the cross-collab design!
Because I have early bird discount offers: I have the first stretch goal up also, not just the base goal. This is to make it easier for people to be able to get Mummy at EB pricing too if you want her and don't want to have to edit your pledge right away!
These pins are highly detailed despite their size (averaging around 40mm tall), many of them having glittery pearl accents, color gradients, and the average number of screen print colors being 5 per pin!
Our base goal monster girl is Dullahan, who carried over from part 1:
Dullahan will be 43mm tall with 2 print colors. Her sleeves will have pearl glitter to resemble nylon stocking material, and the blue display on her helmet will glow in the dark! Please note: The smoke coming from the seal on her neck is BLACK (with shimmery greys) swirly mica enamel. The grey details on her armor, in her hair, on her sword, and in her helmet's "ears" indicate recessed metal, NOT enamel. The navy blue on her hand guards will also be closer to black than it appears on screen. Her mockup was hard to translate with how much black/otherwise dark colors are involved.
Please keep in mind that the base goal is so high because it funds 2 pins in total and my manufacturing costs have gone up - the Dullahan, Golem, and also the shipping costs associated with the mini bat. The Golem stickers are also being funded through the base goal, and the majority of pledges, statistically, will qualify for it!
Midnight Springs is closing after 2025 so that I can focus on my ongoing game development and occasional conventions to clear out stock, so these gacha spins won't be available online after this campaign's preorder page closes!
I'm collaborating with Cryptic Compendium's "Geode Pets" collection for this campaign!
Our cross-collab freebie design pins are Golem and Amethyst Dragon!!
If you back for at least 1 geode pet and monster girl, a minimum of two combined pins, then not only will you get both of those pins for FREE but you'll only be charged shipping once! We will be shipping together, so cross-collab backers won't have to pay shipping twice.
For further shipping estimates please check out the section far below!
Also making a comeback from part 1, Mummy is quite shy. An average citizen caught up in something she never signed up for, she still has a lingering regret: never having found a date!
She's holding an Ankh and backed by an Eye of Horus...The Ankh is an Egyptian symbol of eternal life, while the Eye of Horus symbolizes the warding off of evil, healing and regeneration, and eternal knowledge. Basically - no matter what, she'll protect you - after all, you brought her back. 🖤
42mm tall hard enamel with 7 print colors. Her hair will be BLACK with pearl glitter - with a gradient leading to teal tips.
Stretch 2: Angel (Available, unlocks at $2600!)
Angel will be 45mm tall wing tip to wing tip, with a pearlescent finish for all hands, skin, and hair. The printed pupils will glow in the dark.
Stretch 3: Demon (unlocks at $3,500, available to pledge for)
Demon is a 2-parter! Her mace will be genuinely attached via a real black chain (excuse my poor mockup), so the flail part is its own pin.
She will be 37mm tall (excluding the weapon) and with 7 print colors. Her skin patterns and her eyes will glow in the dark. The fan will be a pearlescent gradient. The fishnets will be black print even though they look grey here; the grey on the flail is NOT enamel but stands for recessed metal to look like real cracks.
Stretch 4: Mermaid (unlocks at $4,350)
Mermaid will be a vibrant blue plating with primarily "printing" under a clear hard enamel, rather than traditional opaque enamel! Her "skin"/sand as well as all of the darker colors of the water will be a pearlescent/glittery print under clear, while the white seafoam and highlight on the water will be screenprinted on top.
She will be 40mm tall with 10 print colors.
Stretch 5: Harpy (unlocks at $4,900)
Harpy is probably the only true "vent" illustration out of all of my girls.
Harpy in all her glory will be 50mm tall with 6 print colors. Her irises will glow in the dark. The big grey area in the victim's eye sockets indicates recessed metal, rather than enamel!
Stretch 6: Kuchisake-Onna (unlocks at $5,400)
Bringing you straightjacket-chic is Kuchisake-Onna! Would you let her cut your hair, or would you hesitate to let her that close to your face with scissors?
She will be 42mm tall with 3 print colors. (Note: all the dark brown in her mockup will actually be black enamel, while the darkish grey is recessed metal and NOT enamel. The swirls on her eyes will be printed.)
Stretch 7: Hedge Witch (unlocks between $6,300-$6,700, art not final)
(ART COMING SOON!!)
If all girls are unlocked, I'll try brainstorming more!
From Part 1, Gorgon and TV Cat are making a cameo!
They were funded via the survey portion of Part 1, so they weren't available during the initial campaign runtime. As a result, I'm offering them here as individual choice add-ons as an exception! They will not be a part of this gacha pool, however: they're still considered part 1 pins and may be drawn if you add-on spins from part 1 so keep that in mind!
Gorgon has a sample ready but TV Cat hasn't been made yet. Please enjoy her mockup in the interim! These lovely ladies are $20/each for early bird pricing but $23 after.
There are also some misc. other pins available as add-ons!
Gacha collections
All of my past gacha collections, including part 1 of Monster Girl Riot, are available to pledge for in limited numbers!
Pricing for spins on Monster Girl Riot will change when I have them in stock due to ever-increasing production costs and the sheer amount of detail per pin. The less complex girls out of both campaigns will form the first gacha pool at $15/spin while the more complex girls will form the 2nd pool at $18/spin (would be $25/per pin if I were selling them independently - which I will not be). This is the cheapest time to get them!
please refer to the seconds pin grab bag image to see what these pins look like in real life if I haven't yet gotten to editing these with real photos by the time this campaign is live!
Seconds Pin Grab Bags
If you're okay with pins that have dings/scratches, dust in the enamel, low or missing enamel in small parts, smeared or misaligned print, or a mixture of those mentioned flaws - then consider getting a seconds pin grab bag!
Each seconds pin grab bag includes potentially any pin from that collection. For ex: if you get a paw grab bag, you may get a mixture like banana, orange, tortoiseshell, dilute tuxedo, and pink. They aren't being separated by machine like the gacha spins!
Seconds pin grab bags are available for moths, jellinoms, and paws! See add-on listings for more info.
Bandages
I also have bandages available to pledge for! I designed these with love and they are medical grade and latex-free. DISCLAIMER: They stick best on fingers, torso, and arms. If you accidentally get one on a blanket you'll have significant difficulty getting it off if you don't remove it right away!!
In stock in both 16G and Faux (clip-on) I have these gold, silver, and black thorns septum rings! They are hypoallergenic brass with plating. 18k gold, rhodium, or gunmetal in that colorway order. No cadmium, lead, or nickel in base metal or plating. There is a limit of 10 per colorway per style.
So let me open this section with addressing the tariffs: for this campaign, the majority of my pins are being produced with factories who are charging me tariff costs they front, so if I'm charged any to pass along they will be minimal. Any tariff charges received by the end of receipt of all pins will be carefully scrutinized to figure out which way I should divvy up the charges that will come as a third transaction (after shipping) likely in February.
These pins are priced higher than my previous campaigns sans its direct predecessor, but those were primarily mini pins - these are "full-size" pins with complex details and many print colors. I'm using multiple different manufacturers this time, and as a result, these pins are able to have staggered unlock goals instead of all the same price jumps. However, because of the pricing discrepancies, the in-stock costs will be much higher than they are here. The price tag is comparable to other hard enamel pins of around this average sizing and detail at this point in the global economy.
Cost breakdown:
10% or more of funds "raised" are almost guaranteed to error out, leaving the raised funds below what is displayed.
10% of funds actually raised goes to fees.
Approx. 5% of funds actually raised goes to shipping the pins to me.
Approx. 5% is saved for overhead in case something happens and I suddenly have to pay more for something (this happens way more than you'd think).
The rest of the funds actually raised goes to producing the items funded via the campaign runtime.
Since the shipping fees are collected after the campaign via the survey that will be sent out in approximately December, that is what funds shipping to you and any extra shipping supplies needed.
Timeline
The reason I structure my rewards this way is so that I know EXACTLY what everyone has ordered of every design - save for gacha spins, where that doesn't matter - because that allows me to place the order immediately upon receiving funds from Backerkit. I don't have to wait until I receive survey funds to order the pins because I do this. Funds get sent to creators roughly 2 weeks after the event ends, then there's final negotiations and proof approvals needed before production officially starts.
Timeline should be roughly the same as my previous campaigns - roughly 3 months after production begins before I receive them and am able to fully grade them. Production will almost certainly begin by the latter half of November. As I am chronically ill, depending on backer count fulfillment will take anywhere from 1-2 months, hopefully not any longer than that.
Pay Over Time:
Pay over time is enabled! Anyone with pledges over $150 can choose to do this. You won't be sent your survey until all payments are submitted successfully, but you're still considered a backer as long as all go through! However, please be aware if you choose this that until you're able to fill out and pay for your survey, your SKU counts won't be tallied. I'll do my best to monitor so that things don't get sold out while the system waits for the payments to all go through (4 months).
With packages beginning to go out to you presumably in February, hopefully I will be done sending out all packages by mid-March. That depends entirely on the number of backers and my current health, however. If this winds up funding all girls, for example, that will be a lot of backers! So it would take me longer to fulfill.
The packaging they will be in will vary depending on costs at that time (impacted by tariffs). You can likely expect to receive your package from me in a recycled kraft padded mailer, with pins on backing cards inside sealed paper bags. Shakers have to be shipped in boxes, which generally cost the same on a weight basis but may be heavier than pin packages. Either way, whatever I send them in will be majority recylable, please do so if you can!
Shipping estimates
International rates have unfortunately raised a bit since the last campaign for some countries, so it may be higher. If you back Cryptic Compendium's active campaign as well, you'll only have to pay shipping once - via my campaign! Once his surveys are locked, your shipping balance will be nullified on his end so that you aren't charged it from his campaign. If combined weight is really high, I may have to increase the shipping charge on my end so that it still covers everything, however. That only applies to people who back us both!
Thank you so much for checking out this campaign! While it's an extension of my previous campaign, most of these designs were brand new to my brain inbetween its launch and this one. I hope that some of them can be brought to life as well.
If you want to find me on socials, to be honest, I'm not really active anywhere right now. Social anxiety is kicking my butt. However, when I do post it is almost exclusively Instagramstories and Bluesky posts.
When open, my shop can be found here! This is my last hoorah for my online shop, Midnight Springs as you know it will be closing after 2025 and I'll be focusing more on game dev and the occasional convention!
