Project Update: Where's that damned print version?

Hey everyone,

I hope you’ve been enjoying the Hymn of the Dragonflower PDF for the Cypher System! If you spot any errors, typos, or missing content, please let me know. You can report issues by starting a discussion on BackerKit, commenting on this update, or messaging us on Discord.
 




That also brings me to the print code some of you may be eagerly waiting for.

As this is a passion project created by two small creators, we didn’t have access to the same level of editing and resources as larger companies. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve released, but there may still be a few small issues here and there.

For that reason, we’ll be waiting a few weeks to gather feedback, address any corrections, and make sure everything is polished. Once that’s done, we’ll send out the print code to everyone. Believe me, I’m just as excited to hold a physical copy in my hands!

Project Update: A work of art! ( You got mail)

I can hardly express how amazed I am by what Qedhup has accomplished with this adventure. Single-handedly, he transformed it into a true work of art in every respect. I couldn’t be more proud to share this with you.

Project Update: Oh man... the wait

Hey,

First, I’d like to apologise again for the delays. I’ll try to explain what’s happening. I just wanted to say that although some people have accused me of trying to scam people, the adventure should be ready by January. But realistically, that’s not a promise.



A lot of sh*t happened.

As you might know, I’ve been working as a full-time content creator on YouTube for the past couple of years. But most of my income comes in the form of US dollars, meaning that when the value of the dollar dropped due to … political reasons, I lost about 20% of my income. Long story short, I’m now working as a car mechanic again to keep my nose above water. Meaning I get to work a LOT less on the projects that were funded.

Then a lot of personal and family stuff happened in Qedhup’s life, which I will not get into. But please do remember that the two people who work on this project are full-time working-class people and not RPG companies who can push out book after book after book.

Still active on YouTube though?

Yes, I’m still active on YouTube, and I know that can look as if I am ignoring my projects. But that is NOT the case at all. I get to do roughly one video a week now, compared to three or four last year.

Project Update: Almost there!

Hi

Firstly, I'd like to apologise for this project taking longer then expected. Both me and Qedhup ran into some unexpecte life situations that delaid everything. Pair that with a timezone difference that made communication a bit harder in these situations and we are where we are today. I won't go do deep into what happend in my life but let's say the start of this snowball effect was due to the election of a 'certain presedent' that cost me 20% of my income.  In short, I had to look elswere just so that my family and I where safe. I'm happy to say I now work a few days a week as a classic car mechanic.

Right now, I'm back in a very good place and super excited to get this adventure out to you; the backers who put their trust in us. I've asked Qedhup to write out a little message for you as well.

"Hey everyone! Sorry for it taking so long. Between life stuff getting in the way, some communication chain issues, and other stuff. This adventure has taken me far longer than any of the other projects I've been a part of this year. BUT good news is it's basically done. If my water heater tank hadn't of exploded my basement you'd probably already have it. Sadly it shifted me right into a planned vacation. So stay tuned, as that is my primary focus once I return. You'll get the adventure (and all it's extras) in your hands likely sometime in November. Again, sorry this project has been delayed when all the others I've worked on were pumped out so fast. But I'll get'r to you before you know it"

Project Update: Update from Qedhup

Hi there

I just wanted to share this message from Qedhup:

"Alrighty, sorry for the long wait. Life has been beyond hectic the last few months. However, the adventure is in full swing now. I know the audience, and I know that what we're really looking for is a way to tell the story in a more open and narrative way. Where the story elements are key, and the adventure is more like a series of guidelines and extras, rather than the stricter railroads of a 5e adventure. 

For this adventure I have torn it apart and created a structure of Story Beats, with each Story Beat having individual Scenes. No crunchy maps or forced direction. Instead there is a flow-chart of choices and suggestions, along with things like lists of scene aspects for players and GMs to use for narrative purposes with Major Effects, Intrusions, etc. The structure is done, and I'm a good chunk of the way through adding the content and storylines into this new structure. Then all I have to do is add in the new special character options and content and we're all done the writing portion! 

Oh, and I added a few extra things along the way. Suggestions on how to use this "fantasy" adventure in something like Numenera, or The Strange (why limit ourselves), and a few small optional rules expansions I think you'll find useful and interesting. I also have some plans to go hard on the layout, but I'll explain more when we get to that stage.
