Hi all, just a quick update here. Death Pays All Debts has arrived and is all kitted together at RV Games. They are planning on starting shipping to US backers next week! International orders will be following shortly, they must be shipped to international warehouses for re-distribution.

Mothership Month 25 is ongoing with lots of great looking projects! There is also opportunity to unlock better supply pods by completing achievements. Current achievements are to run games and blog about Mothership. Details are found in the Mothership Discord server.

As part of Mothership Month, Sam Sorensen is running a massive play-by-post game called Over/Under, set in Prospero's Dream. I'm having a blast seeing all the wild creativity and interactions going on, and it's only been a couple of days. It is a real-time month of play-by-post play in a discord server with factional conflict and general shenanigans. Join us!

Patches, bonus pamphlets, and posters have arrived at RV Games. The zine prints shipped Friday, so should be arriving by the end of the week. After about a week to kit things together, they can start being shipped out to backers!

Mothership Month '25

Mothership month is returning this year starting October 14th. This year's theme is all around Prospero's Dream and the A Pound of Flesh module from Tuesday Knight Games (I guess I was a little ahead of the curve on that one). I'm excited to be contributing to one of the zines launching during this event: Flatline on the Blocks, a detailed district of the Dream with new locations, factions, and horrors. I'm honored to be joining a ton of awesome creators on the project!

We’ve heard from our digital EU backers about the fee included for VAT and VAT compliance. This is a change from when rates were originally estimated a year ago, and we understand how that was surprising, so we’ve removed the fee and refunded the 16 people affected. We’ll reconsider how we communicate and go about handling digital VAT for the EU for future projects, so we’re just eliminating any fee from this project for rn.

Thank you to everyone who completed their Smoke Test last week. We found a couple small issues that we have fixed related to taxes and shipping fees for the EU. Here are the changes:

Nothing else has changed since the last update. We're thinking about ways we can make this BackerKit setup less convoluted for future campaigns, but international taxes are inherently convoluted. I've attached a poll here for international backers to ask about how you would prefer to be charged for the extra costs involved with international sales.

Immediately after posting this update, we will be sending out surveys for everyone. We already have the final digital files ready, so as soon as you complete your survey, you will have access to the full zip file for Death Pays All Debts. You will then get these later via Shopify, DTRPG, and Itch.io, but we will be using BackerKit to give you access while printing finishes and fulfillment commences.
