We've come to the end of another month, so it's time for our regular monthly check in. It's also the end of the year, so let's see what 2024 delivered in terms...
As we get to the back half of May, it's time for our regular monthly update. And oddly, this month's update is all about stuff coming in June!
Order Lockdown begins in June First up, I wanna note that we'll begin our Order Lockdown process next month! The Scion: God hardcovers are currently printing, and I expect (hope!) to ship those out to backers in August. That means I'll be giving backers an opportunity to review shipping costs and confirm (or adjust) your order selection starting in our next monthly update.
Basically, my plan (which may be adjusted as the situation evolves):
June 17 - Backers will receive a notice to review their orders and shipping charges July 15 - Backerkit will begin processing payments for shipping charges and Pledge Manager Add Ons July 29 - Backers will confirm shipping information that I'll pass along to Onyx Path's fulfillment parter in August
So, we're not quite there yet, but next month's update will begin the process of locking down our rewards and preparing the path for hardcover shipping in the summer. Good stuff ahead!
Onyx Path Virtual Convention 2025 Probably the best place to get some Scion updates will be the Scion panel during Onyx Path's 2025 Virtual Convention on the very first night!
Onyx Path Virtual Gaming Convention 2025 is just around the corner! As they enter the final weeks of preparation, the schedule is settling in. Some panels and actual plays needed minor tweaks, which is normal for this stage of the game. People’s availability shifts and schedule issues bubble up, but so far they’ve been able to roll with the punches pretty easily and are on track for a smooth, fun, and informative show!
They’re also getting games for attendees to play ramped up via Startplaying.games. There are already a few games set up, and your encouraged to consider setting one up yourself, if you like running games! It’s a great opportunity to try out games you might not otherwise get the chance to, meet new players, and make a few bucks. Onyx Path's partners at Envoy who run convention games for them will also be running games via Startplaying.games and those entries will be showing up very soon at https://startplaying.games/event/onyx-path-2025!

Our hardcover books are currently in the Proofing phase. Onyx Path's print partner is printing test versions for the team to review and approve (unless any minor tweaks are needed), and then the actual print run can begin. Once the books are printed, the long shipping wait begins.
So, right now, my estimate based on all known variables is that we'll see our hardcover books fulfilled in August. That means I'll be confirming orders and shipping costs as part of our June update, and then processing payments for any Pledge Manager Add On selections and shipping charges in early July and finally confirming shipping information by the end of July.
Again, that's based on all of the info I have right now and our usual timelines once proofing has begun. Nothing major to do yet, but next month I'll start putting out the word to double-check your BackerKit Pledge Manager page to make sure it's all correct before we begin the order lock down process in June.

The Exalted: Essence Player’s Guide is a book chock full of player-facing content. Within, we’ll walk you through how to think about playing your character, what kind of person they might shape up to be, and how to consider their strengths and weaknesses as well as Intimacies and Virtues. Beyond advice for roleplaying, each chapter also contains dozens of new Charms for characters to take, shaping the outcome of your campaigns.
Unlike other Exalted books, this does not contain any new setting material. It’s all about your character and your campaigns. Most books also speak directly to the Storyteller, assuming they’re the person who does most of the reading. Not so here! If you’re a player in a game of Exalted, this book is for you. You don’t have to read the whole thing cover to cover, but the section that applies to your character has so much there for you.

In Trinity Continuum: Steam Wars, your player characters are the crewmembers of a war rig, venturing into battles against people from far off countries, aligned to ideals different than their own, and trying to preserve their peace, their way of life, or their rich deposits of a new, bizarre energy source: condensed coal. There's obviously a lot of turbulence in the printing industry right now, and that uncertainty has been affecting things for a few months as the Onyx Path team works to lock down the specs and costs/schedule for the final print run for Scion: God. Artists are working from the Art Notes on our Stretch Goal supplements. Hopefully we'll see some movement in the next few months and I'll be able to start sharing artwork as we get into the layout process.
