Greetings space farers! Our work in the mech shop fixing up everything under the hood after our amazing launch is complete and we're excited to announce that the pledge manager is now open. Backers will shortly be receiving an email inviting them to complete their pledges, purchase any add ons and pay for shipping and taxes where needed. Thanks once again for all your support!
We’ll be staggering surveys going out so don’t worry if you don’t hear anything straight away. If you haven’t received an email by next week then please contact support.
You just charged cards for the balnce on the pledge but gave no advance notice or any indication that you were about to do it!
That's not cool, it messes up with everything in the budget, had I known you were going to charge this week, or this month even I could have made arrangements but doing it this way is not the way to go!
A few people have asked us what differences there will be between the ION Heart quickstart and ION Heart core book. The short answer is: more character creation, gameplay and world-building options. We'll go into some more specifics below but first Pledge Manager updates.
Thanks to everyone who has filled out their pledge manager already. We will be locking orders and charging cards on 14th Feb! So if you haven't completed your survey yet make sure to do so. Also if you have any friends who might want to join us in the Astral Union make sure to share the project with them.
We've also got some exciting new project news but first, Character creation updates.
We thought we’d share a small addition we’ll be making for the ION Heart core book, particularly when it comes to character creation. But first, here's a spot-the-difference between the old and new character sheets. Notice anything new?
You’ll see that we’ve included a ‘Mech Origin’ section on the character sheet. We wanted to give players the opportunity to delve into the history between your Pilot and Mech. How did they meet, what is your Mech’s history? Here is an example of a couple of Mech Origins we’ll be including in the ION Heart core rules!
We’ve got plenty of new features and character creation options to come, so stay tuned for more updates as we continue with development.

It's been a while since our last post, so we wanted to give you an update on some bits and pieces we’ve been developing. The team has been hard at work on all things ION Heart and we thought we’d share some with you. In particular, we’ve been doing a lot of work to flesh out the lore of the Astral Union.
The Corporate Charter is included in the Mech Toolkit, and gives you in-world information about the various nefarious mega-corps operating within the Astral Union. A fun detail we’ve included are profiles of some of the most eccentric and unpleasant figures who operate at the top of these companies, who can easily act as NPCs in your ION Heart sessions.
Meet Hortak Noth II, the CEO of the massive shipping conglomerate Noth Logistik:
Aside from their public-facing activities, Noth Logistik also like to dabble in arms manufacturing and are notable for their hostile takeovers of rivals’ shipping lanes.
Each corporation tends to specialise in a different field, with Gramyll-Keeler Resources (also known as GKR) having a particular investment in mining. Here is a look at blueprints for the special GKR ‘Sonal Prospector 904’ mining unit:
The Corporate Charter will feature more background, characters, mechs and equipment for you to encounter in the Astral Union, and we’ll give you more updates as we go. Don't forget you can still add the Mech Tool Kit via your pledge manager as an add on or as part of a late pledge here.
