In case you haven't heard, the ION Heart Multiplayer RPG is going to be coming to Backerkit on March 24th! Soon enough, you'll be able to explore the Astral Union with friends, but you might have also noticed a familiar game mode making an appearance.
ION Heart Multiplayer's Solo Mode
There's going to be a solo mode built into ION Heart Multiplayer. This game mode will allow players already familiar with the ION Heart world to engage with the game the way they want, as well as allowing new players different ways to experience the universe.
This is a new system, more closely tied to what the game of ION Heart Multiplayer represents. It uses a new Encounter-based system, different from the way Story Circuits work in the Solo game.
We really want our Solo Game players to know that the Solo Mode of ION Heart Multiplayer is not a replacement for the game of ION Heart: Solo RPG: It's an addition to it.
The World of ION Heart Multiplayer vs The World of ION Heart Solo RPG
The story of ION Heart Multiplayer begins many years before the world of the Ion Heart Solo RPG.
The world of the Ion Heart Solo RPG takes place in the future, in a more stable and peaceful time for the Aegeic Galaxy.
The ION Heart Multiplayer RPG lets you undertake the journey to make that peaceful version of the galaxy.
The Emergence War finally came to a close -It was a conflict that spanned across the entire Aegeic Galaxy, uniting all societies against one terrifying threat: the Nephilim. These bio-mechanical monsters threatened to destroy, consume and absorb all life, but the cultures of the Aegeic Galaxy set aside their differences, worked together, sending their pilots in newly created Mechs into the battle. The Astral Union, an alliance formed of many of the nations within the Aegeic Galaxy, stood against the Nephilim. After many long years of conflict, the war was finally won.
Much was lost, the damage dealt during the war to all sides left wounds that will take time to heal, but the galaxy was saved. In the wake of the war, the Astral Union has been slowly rebuilding itself through collaboration and governance, its separate nations still united under one banner. Without a war to fight and a common enemy to unify against, there are some who rally against the ideals of the Union, but many still welcome it with open arms.

We had a delay due to the Sticker Sheets not being with the warehouses in time, and now a second hurdle has hit us.
With fulfilment underway, we've identified there has been an error with the data sent out to the shipping warehouses, which means that sticker packs have been missed off a number of orders - in particular those with the Mech's Toolkit. If you ordered the stickers as addons you will be unaffected by this issue.
We are very sorry about this and have managed to catch a good portion of the US orders and all of the Canadian orders before this mistake impacted them. About half of the USA, all of Europe, and the entire rest of the world have been affected, unfortunately.
Unfortunately, it could be a great cost to us to get these sticker sheets repacked and sent out, and will have a bigger impact on us than we hoped. So we are not automatically sending out the free Stickers, but asking that if you really do want them, reach out to us with the communication method at the end of this Update.
New PDF Adventure!
In response to this and the delays in shipping and the absence of Sticker Sheets, which have been experienced, we are releasing a free PDF where you can take your Mech on a fishing holiday! We hope this will make up for the delays and the missing stickers, and will be going out to all backers. Make sure to check your Backerkit profile for the new PDF!
Canadian Fulfilment
Thank you to our Canadian backers for being so patient, we have some news for you all on shipping! The stock has now been forwarded on from distribution partners in the US to our distribution partner in Canada and should hopefully arrive within a week. From here, orders will start to be processed and sent out, so look out for shipping notifications to start arriving in a couple of weeks.
"But I still want my Stickers?"
If you are missing your stickers and would like them to be sent to you, please send an email to [email protected] from your email used for Backerkit in the following specific format. If this format is not used, we will not be able to process shipping the stickers:
We’ve spent a lot of time tuning our Mechs’ ‘festivity systems’ over the holiday period and have had a nice break full of food (good) and time with inlaws (perhaps less good). We’re now back fully charged, with all systems dedicated to getting projects to our Backers. US Shipment For our US Backers, we’re happy to announce that shipping has begun and is currently ongoing; some backers have started to receive their parcels! Due to the volume of orders and delays from the festive season, this is an ongoing process which we are hoping is complete very soon.
However, due to a production issue with the Sticker Packs, we have a slight delay for US backers whose pledge levels include the Mech Toolkit and Stickers packs as part of their pledges. We estimate that this will be solved in the next week or so and almost all US backers should receive their packages within the next month
Customs Issues - Outline
We know that there have been some issues with international customs throughout this campaign. We're very sorry for that. We are working to resolve the issue for future fulfilmen, but for now to work with what we have.
Customs Issues - How Do I know if it's affected Me?
The main issues affecting people so far are only when their total order is over €150, $150, or NZD1000. If you've received a notification saying "package delivered" and the address was correct and you are 200% certain no delivery was made, that is likely DPD (or their national partner in your territory) is returning the package to us (we don't know why it's marked that way, obviously it causes concern). You may have also received a request for payment from your nations customs agency.
Customs Issues - "What do I do?"
Here's what to do if this issue affects you. Please read all the steps and follow them carefully.
If the Customs fee is under €60/$60/(60 whatever your currency is), and you are 100% sure it is a legitimate request for payment, pay the fee, and proceed to Step Two. If your requested fee is above that then do not pay right away, proceed to Step Two and we will review your case.
Email us at [[email protected]] with the subject line: "Customs Issue: [Your Name on your Backerkit Account], [Your Country]".
Include these important details in your email: Your Correct Shipping Address, Your Full Name, The Name on Your Backerkit Account (of different than your full name), Your Full and Correct Shipping Address, a Contact Number (for you or said address)*, and your PID (EU Residents) / DNI (residents of Spain)*, your PayPal Information (preferred), or your Banking Information. Without all of these bits of information, we will struggle to help you. If time is of the essence, we cannot risk having to email back to ask you for the missing information.
Attach any invoices from customs agencies, as well as your receipts of payment if you have already paid the fees. Without these, we cannot help you.
We will endeavour to refund any legitimate customs payments made to you in a timely manner, with our express apologies for this inconvenience.

*International delivery agencies often use the absences of a contact number (globally), a PID / DNI (Europe) as an excuse for failed deliveries, and will often not allow us to re-submit a delivery request to you or claim back any fees wrongly incurred.

UK/EU Shipping
Shipping to all UK and EU backers is now complete, and the last packages have been sent out! Some of these items are still being delivered by our couriers, if you've not received your copy in the next 2 weeks, please let us know.
US/Canada Shipping
Ion Heart products shipped to the US have been received at the port and will be transferred to our US fulfilment partners shortly. Postage to US based backers should commence in the next couple of weeks.
For our backers based in Canada, products will soon be transported from the US to our Canadian fulfilment partner. Postage to backers will commence in the next few weeks, estimated two weeks behind US backers.
Rest of World Shipping
Backers based outside of the UK, EU, US and Canada will have their packages shipped at the same time as US backers.
That’s No Moon Generator
One of our stretch goals for the campaign is the ‘That’s No Moon’ generator, which allows your characters to explore stellar colonies, satellites and other Artificial Celestial Bodies (or ACBs) as you explore the Astral Union. We’re happy to say this is now complete and will be arriving in the inboxes of everyone who included a copy of the ION Heart Pilot’s Handbook in their pledge very soon! This will also be released for free on the Parable Games webstore.

An eagle eyed member of the Parable Games Discord community noticed that the ION Heart Character Sheet PDFs previously weren’t available through our webstore. This has now fixed, and you can find them for free here:
We’re excited to announce that we are taking part in Backerkit’s Pintopia 2026 event! We are crowdfunding the release of ION Heart themed pin badges at the start of next year.
