Project FAQ
This project is scheduled to deliver no later than October 2024 (hopefully much sooner)!
You will be charged for for your base pledge and add-ons when the campaign concludes. I plan to run credit cards in BackerKit for any post-campaign charges (add-ons, shipping, taxes) in July of 2024. I will post an update before I do so.
Any backer who pledges in the first 48 hours will receive the early bird "Definitely" Book Mimic Pin. You don't need to do anything other than pledge by 1pm ET on March 30. If you change your pledge level, you will retain your early bird reward. If you cancel your pledge and make a new one, you will lose your early bird reward.
If you backed one of my previous Kickstarter or BackerKit campaigns (including Story Engine campaigns), you'll receive a free "Trust Me" Mimic Pin. You don't need to do anything other than make your pledge using an email address you used for reward surveys on any of my previous projects.
The standard pins are 1.5" soft enamel with 2 rubber clasps on the back. Some pins (including the Mimic Pin Set, Cross-Collab Skeleton Pins, Best Friends / Roll Together Pin Set, and Click-Clack Sneak Attack Pin) may be slightly smaller or larger.

The Cat Lady Druid pin was not supposed to be included in the campaign and was removed from all graphics except for section with the old pin designs I am bringing back for this campaign. Because some people pledged for this pin, I opened a Google Form where people could request that one of their pins be replaced by a Cat Lady Druid Pin. That form is now closed. Please contact me directly if you would like to add on the Cat Lady Druid pin.
BackerKit FAQ
BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.
If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.
Backers often receive special rewards for their support, such as:
- Exclusive products
- Bonus rewards for backing related projects
- Discount pricing
- Behind-the-scenes updates
- Creative input opportunities
Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.
- Select a pledge level with the reward(s) you would like to receive
- Select any add-ons
- Confirm your pledge!
- You are charged only if the campaign meets its funding goal.
- Charges happen when the campaign ends, not when you pledge.
The creator will send you a survey to:
- Ask you for more information about your rewards (selecting options, etc)
- Collect shipping information
- Offer additional items you may want to add to your pledge
- Collect shipping fees (if applicable)
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge. Additional payments are charged when you complete the survey.
Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.
You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.
Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
