Project Update: Small Update!

Hello friends,

I hate to give small updates, I always prefer to wait until I have relevant info to share, but at the moment we're just twiddling our thumbs.

The Slowdown

I thought we'd have shipping numbers back in July, as noted in last update. But we appear to have hit a really rough wall with New Titan at the moment. That's the company who is handling our manufacturing and fulfillment, and they also handled the Alleyman's Tarot, and recently (still somewhat ongoing apparently) the Alleyway Oracles.

I asked for shipping numbers in July, then again here in August 3 times now.

My understanding is that they have a big labor shortage in China and here, and here in particular the managers are the ones packing and shipping things themselves, so that's slowing down their emails. Then there's the likelihood they're doing work for other companies as well.

I expected that since we had all print files ready to go that we would have been printing in mid July. But it took a bit for them to get me a contract for the work, then I paid that, but even then it's been another set of weeks and just yesterday I got asked if one of the print files was correct (it was), so I no longer have any idea if printing has started even today.

New Timeline?

Now, we aren't manufacturing a ton on this project, the numbers are smaller than the Alleyway Oracles by quite a bit, so my assumption at this moment:

September we manufacture/finish manufacturing.
October international packages ship out direct from China.
At the same time, US/Canada/Mexico packages ship overseas and begin to go out as they arrive end of October/start of November.

I will share a new update with the latest info as soon as I have it, but at this moment I'm finding it's difficult to get the info in hand in a reasonable timeframe. Apologies! There's definitely space here now for me to consider using other manufacturers/fulfillment centers for future projects like these. Magicraft, who I have used to produce my board/card games, has lower prices and has always been pretty quick at production timelines with great quality, and Send From China has been pretty good for shipping and fulfillment so far. Perhaps I move to working with them for all projects into the future... hard to say!

Thank you for your continued patience friends, we'll still have these in hand by the end of the year, but if we'd stayed on track and actually gotten to manufacturing in time, we'd have items starting to ship already in September. So clearly some elements to fix and streamline, here.
