As far as a status update goes, my health is still a major struggle, and I’m slowly grinding forward as I can. As always, I’m super happy to refund anyone’s pledge if you don’t wish to wait any longer. That being said, I completely believe in the adventure, which is why i haven’t cancelled it outright. It’s going to be great, but my mind and body currently force me into unpredictably long stretches of non-productivity. It sucks and it’s frustrating.
Also now, for a variety of reasons, we’ll be moving out of our apartment and buying a house in the coming months. That shouldn’t be stressful or taxing, right? (But unlike our last two moves that physically almost killed me, since we’ll be hiring folks to do most of the manual stuff, i don’t think it will really have much of an impact on the adventure side of things).
Regardless, we’ll get there: thank you for your support and patience. Here’s some more pics!
I'd obviously hoped to have the PDF in your hands at this point, but working through my health issues remains a stubborn thing. Things are progressing, albeit slowly, and hopefully the next update will at last include your download codes. :)
As always, if anyone understandably feels the wait has gone on for too long, just shoot me an email at [email protected] with your PayPal email/username, and I'll happily refund your pledge.
I hope you remain excited for the adventure: here is another batch of images. :)
Hey all. I apologize for the quiet on our end. Our schedule has been slowed down again because of my worsening health: my ability to type and code, and of late, even manage stuff effectively has sadly stretched out our process.
We’re finishing up the writing and layout, and the PDF should be ready within the month, with the print codes following about 6-8 weeks later. If you no longer wish to wait, I’m happy to provide refunds: just contact me at [email protected] and we’ll get that setup.
I’m pretty bummed by things: Ben is a fantastic writer with lots of great ideas in the pipeline, but is saddled with a Dad/Publisher whose body (after 13 years doing this!) is breaking down. Coding the free tools has always been a tremendous joy, but I’m running into roadblocks there as well. Sadly, this may be our last project for the foreseeable future unless there is some significant/magical change medically. I had hoped to spread our work around, but process-wise it has proven that there are certain things I have to do for something to be a Purple Sorcerer project, and I’m proving to be the weak link.
Again, apologies. Thanks for everyone’s tremendous support, it has always been very much appreciated.

Since we’ve only ever run our campaigns through Kickstarter, it’s been exciting to learn all the amazing tools that BackerKit has to streamline fulfillment. But that does require some study time to get up to speed on what is available. :)
It will take a couple weeks for BackerKit to handle all the payment steps, and while that’s going on we’ll be preparing the backer survey, since as a first step, we need all of your DriveThruRPG email addresses to send out the add-on adventure codes for those who have added on our previous adventures.
So keep your eyes peeled for the survey towards the end of March! We’re so excited to be working on our adventure as part of the Purple Planet Horde, and can’t wait to begin sharing project updates and screenshots as the work progresses! We do hope you love it!
Thanks to ALL of our amazing backers! We came very close to reaching our final stretch goal of the new Patron/Local Deity… and Ben and I have decided that close works in BackerKit as well as in horseshoes and hand grenades! So we will be adding the final stretch goal for everyone to enjoy!
Now the works begin. We’ll be posting regular updates as content is completed. We’re most excited to see Matt’s amazing illustrations. In line with the other Purple Planet Horde campaigns, the completion date for the adventure and all the stretch goals is the end of the summer. It should be an incredibly exciting time for those who backed more than one project!
Again, thanks to everyone for your incredible support!
