Citizens, we’re not really big on ‘goodbye’ here in Night Vale, we hardly ever say it because who would want to leave?
So this isn’t a goodbye. More of a ‘catch you on the flipside’ because as of this week all of the pledges have been delivered.
This page will go dormant, there won’t be anymore regular updates moving forward. We want to say thank you, citizens, for trusting us with this project. This campaign marked many firsts for our crowdfunding team and we’ve learned a lot from all of you, your comments, and your feedback.

On a personal note I have been a big fan of Night Vale since late 2012. I’ll save the long version of the story for a blog post some day but long story short, this podcast and campaign was extremely meaningful to me and I was honored to get to work on it, to make the Teacup Strex pets, and to get to know all of you.
So thank you, citizens, for trusting us to make this amazing game a reality and until next time.

Hello citizens! This update is mostly for our Canadian friends who are still waiting so patiently for their copies of the game, so if that’s not you, don’t worry, this isn’t goodbye just yet.
Canadian backers, the boat has docked! We actually were emailing with our shipping partners this morning, and they told us that shipping might start as soon as Monday (and if not on Monday, definitely next week!). They’ve also assured us that the Canada Post strike won’t affect your pledge delivery since they ship via Canpar.
Once shipping begins, you should get an email with a tracking number and instructions for rerouteing if you need to change your delivery location.
After all our Canadian shipping is done, we’ll officially complete fulfillment, and these updates will go dormant, like so many slumbering giants.

Hello citizens! Apologies for the late update, we wanted to get this out last week but we were waiting for some very important information.
Canada
You have been waiting so patiently and now you'll have to wait a little bit longer. The ship with your games had more than a few delays but now we have a date of arrival! The approximate date of landfall is October 20th and we're hoping that the customs process will be quick so that shipping can start that week.
We truly appreciate your grace and we're looking into Time Magicks and Time Science to see if either of them can make the boat show up faster.

Good morning, Citizens! Summer has officially tripped over a raised root and is starting to descend into fall, so we wanted to make a quick update to get things sorted out.
Here are our shipping status updates! There's been a lot of hold-ups outside of our control due to the nature of global shipping at the moment (customs may or may not have been infiltrated by StrexCorp, we're still unclear), but finally, we're just over halfway done with all total shipping!

About the dice tray. We've previously made a comment about it, but will also be posting it here for posterity:
We're sorry for some of the disappointment we've seen about the dice tray. First, we'd like to apologize – all campaign mock-ups are always subject to change either by the licensor or by us for a variety of reasons, such as supply shortages, feasibility, and more. It seems that the disclosure text about that got left off the graphics for this campaign, and it is something we will be more diligent about in the future. The change was made for a lot of reasons, the most prominent one being that the mock-up dice tray would not have fit in the beginner box we wanted everything to fit into. We will be taking all this feedback and letting the design team know that there is demand for this dice tray, and see if it's something we can potentially offer in the future.
We’re truly sorry this change wasn’t communicated before your games arrived. Notice of the change never made it to our community team, so you didn’t hear about it when you should have. That’s our mistake, and we’re committed to doing better going forward.
Crowdfunding always comes with a lot to juggle — this campaign alone had 28 different items in production before even counting the stretch goals. That’s not an excuse, but hopefully it helps explain how something like this slipped through the cracks. We hope you can offer us a little understanding as we keep learning and improving.
At the end of the day, we’re proud of the game we’ve all brought to life together, and we really hope you enjoy it once it hits your table. Thank you for supporting us, for sharing your feedback, and for being such a passionate part of this community.

Joyous day citizens! After meticulously hand writing each of your addresses on a large bleeding stone we are FINALLY ready to begin shipping! Your patience and care during this extended period of waiting has really warmed our hearts here in town and we're so glad to tell you that shipping begins today (or tomorrow or yesterday, time is relative after all).
In fact, we've even got a photo of one of the games giving the rest a pep talk as they prepare to land in your mailboxes.

Citizens our July update is coming on the tail of the month and I assure you it was for a good reason.
As of today all of the books are on their way to ports! Some close and some far. We cleared several new and old paths across oceans and we’re telling those boats to go full steam ahead.
In an ideal timeline books will start shipping in the next few weeks, but the oracle🔮 still has us on hold.
But there’s still more to tell.
Renegade will be at Gen Con this coming week, if you happen to be there come by booth #1619 and say hi! We won’t have any of the Welcome to Night Vale RPG sadly, but we will have lots of other interesting and fun games and a giant Heroscape miniature.

According to the Citizens Guide the 4 defence stats (Toughness, Evasion, Willpower, Cleverness) are calculated by 10+the relevant essence score (+anything that a Perk may give). Looking through all the pre-gen characters this is correct, except for Peg. Only the Toughness score is correct at 13 (Strength of 3). Evasion is a 14 despite having a speed of 3, Willpower is 14 but smarts is a 5 so that's down by one and finally despite having a social of 5 Peg's Cleverness is somehow a 17. I've looked through the perks on Peg's character sheet and remade the character following the Citizens Guide and yet nothing should have made those scores that way they are printed.
Is this a typo or am I missing something?
Canadian here, my delivery FINALLY arrived. Fortunately all accounted for, but holy s--- is the dice tray cheap. It feels like it's made of thin cardboard coated in cheap fake leather and velvet, I would be too afraid of it being damaged to actually put it in a bag and take it anywhere. So disappointed, I expected better of Night Vale.
I was looking through my box reading the physical copy of the visitors guide and got the to mind on pages fell out as I turned them this is incredibly disappointing as a long time fan of night vale I expected more I get that things happen but the pages shouldn't just fall out of the books 😟🫤
