Everybody talks about the weather, but no one does anything about it. Until now. Summer heatwave, I recommend you run.
Citizens, the sun is hot and high and a heatwave is sweeping which means it's a good idea to stay indoors and do something fun, like playing the Welcome to Night Vale Roleplaying Game with ████, perhaps?
I hope your summer is packed with sun, friends, and fun. We still don't have an exact date on when the physical games will arrive (the sea is a very tough negotiator), but we have gotten our first container loaded and launched and headed to the U.S.!
Non-U.S. regions the containers with your games are still in line at the ports awaiting booking confirmation. We plan on keeping you informed every step of the way so you can expect a few short update posts in the future as the games come closer upon us all.

This post is going to have information about 1) redemption of downloads and 2) address changes so please read it carefully!

1. Check Your Address
If your address is current and correct and will not be changing before September 1st, 2025 then you are free to proceed to the next page!
1a. If your address is wrong please email us at [email protected] before June 30th!
Once you've either checked your address or emailed us to remedy it you can click the Get Your Digital Downloads button and it will take you to this page.
Your code will not be covered with a grey blob. Hopefully.
Then you can use that code to follow the directions in the other post [Here] to download your files.
If you follow that link and see a blank page then you likely didn't fill out your survey and will need to email us at [email protected]
As a final note, we have recently discovered a strange and difficult to replicate error that doesn't allow you to download the digital files. We've notified the dev team and we're attempting to fix it but unfortunately we're going to go on a goose chase to catch this bug.

Hello dear Citizens,
Happy Friday the 13th. We have quite a bit to update you on today!
Our first order of business is an extension of the address change date. Lots of backers have been reaching out to change addresses (completely understandable as houses, apartments, and condos are roaming beasts), and we want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to get their address correct. So, address changes have been extended through the end of June.
This brings us to our next portion of the update – physical game delivery. Our goal is to get the game to your mailbox before the end of the summer.
I do wish, citizens, that we could get these on your tables last week, but due to tarrifs, there has been quite the disruption in shipping circles, which means that the giant and intimidating boats that bring us goods have been delayed or even turned away. Unfortunately, even in the desert, we can be subject to the will of the tides and the wider world.
We promise you that once we have solid or even semi-solid dates, we will blast them into your email boxes, but for now, we're all waiting patiently.
Fret not, though, citizens! At the very least, you can play your game in the CyberSpace. We sent out digital download codes and instructions for getting your digital backer rewards- more info and step-by-step redemption instructions in our last update [here].
If you were having download trouble yesterday (June 12th) there was a multi-site wide outage due to Cloudflare going down but everything should be up and functioning now.
For those of you who have very delicately told us that our download process is less than ideal, I promise you, we know. Unfortunately, we're working within the limitations of our website. We have managed to make a minor improvement – when you download your files now, they'll have the file name at the beginning of the scrambled coded numbers, like this "FILE_NAME_KJUI56LE.PDF"
Files do still need to be downloaded one by one and we haven't changed the location of the watermarks but we're looking at our options to hopefully make this a better experience in the future.

Citizens, today we appreciate the little things, like warm desert skies, wild plastic bags, and of course- the digital release of the Welcome to Night Vale Roleplaying game.
Firstly, our physical books are still going through the rigorous process of learning how to swim- but they’ll be on the water soon. That means that we need to lock in addresses! We plan on closing address changes on June 13th at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. We’ll drop another few updates as reminders in the days leading up to that closing date but if you’re reading this now please go check that your address is correct! If it isn't, email us at [email protected] with “Night Vale Address Change" in the subject line.
Now back to the digital release. Yes! You read that correctly (one gold star on your summer reading chart, good luck) the Welcome to Night Vale Roleplaying Game is coming up on its digital release!
This coming Monday, June 2nd, we’ll begin digital code distribution via Backerkit. This message will also include a link to the webpage to download your game. Your code will be one-time use and the webpage is a secret so make sure the shadowy figure standing behind you doesn’t redeem your code before you do.
We know that you might get (literally) sucked into prepping and playing the game but we recommend saving some room in your schedule.
Next Friday, June 6th, is our next Renegade Con! On top of all of our usual announcements and panels we’ve included a special Welcome to Night Vale Character Creation Panel with none other than Symphony Sanders- the voice of Tamika Flynn!

If you won’t be at Gen Con you might be interested in the Conference on BIPOC Game Studies at the Strong Museum in New York this September where the Welcome to Night Vale Roleplaying game is part of the Games Showcase! Carlos (y’know the Game Dev?) and some of the Night Vale game writing team will even be there corporeally!
