I know this project has been slow but figured I should at least update you on what the backend looks like. I also don't think I have 193 backers but the send and remind thing is forever broken so I'll get a more accurate number as the project comes closer to completion.

I have not received any tariff bills so far from UPS or FedEx (Pintopia project is basically complete once the freebies arrive) so fingers crossed that continues to be the case. I will be setting aside the keychain plush in packages for this project so as things can be sent, they will be.

Someone else said their plush was tariffed $7,800 from UPS. Obviously this situation has been kinda evolving at a crazy pace so plush on my end may just be on hold. I tend to order 200 of each design since that is my manufacturers minimum. We currently need to get Toby, Owlbear, Kitsune, Fox and Gryphon into production. This tends to be around $4k-$5k per design. If we assume each large plush order will be $5k, that's $25k for the total and at 2.5x the cost I can't reasonably afford the tariffs on that even if we dip into personal funds to cover the difference. Anyways, I will keep you updated. This project will get completed. I want this stuff produced as much as you guys do lol.

If you missed Pintopia, while I am still waiting on remakes of Taco dragons and a few cats (I received enough to fill the project but not the full quantity I ordered), whatever extras I do have will be posted on site for purchase. I will try and keep my prices pretty close to what they are now anyways since I had already increased prices last year in anticipation for a lot of this. I will be using any extra funds raised from sales for making the plush from this project. My next convention is Momocon in Atlanta. My collab partner for Pintopia (Wisparia) will be there with me as well some come meet us if you'll be attending!

I am pre-printing some labels, so if you get a notification from Shopify, that is why. The packages arrive on Saturday for these, we'll inspect them and start sending some of them out. I have to go through things and set a bunch aside for later orders as well.

I'm still waiting on the tariff situation (and to see the bill for these) before I progress with anything else. I'll update once things calm down. Swear it's just a day by day thing as we go so fingers crossed this gets resolved sooner than later.

Idk anyone who can afford 145% of the cost of things on top of what they already have to pay. People barely want to pay what we already need to charge, so anything over that I just don't see happening.

Anyways.. :D Excited to finally at least get something out for this project. 

The current ETA is late May. That means I won't be able to ship any of them until June at earliest.

I know I recently updated but I am actually a little annoyed that I can keep submitting changes to the shape of the Kitsune and they are not getting adjusted. I am going to keep working on it but they messaged me before I went to bed last night with a "final sample" when we hadn't even perfected the head shape. I may start a sample somewhere else and see what I get as well.

Either way, they just embroidered things, ignored some of the markings and gave it black outlined eyebrows lol.

Anyways, sorry for a more frustrated update than I expected to have. I'll do edits later either way and I will update this on the old post as well so it's all in one place.

Keychain Plush Updates, Next Production Items
Keychains finish on the 4th of April, then they will ship to me. I had planned to start Toby and Kitsune together but the Kitsune sample is taking way more time than I ever expected so I may just start Toby sooner. I have two back to back conventions (Anime Detour + Awesomecon), so we'll see what everything looks like around that point. I have nothing going on until Momocon.

I did ask for keychain photos so hopefully once they are completed they will provide those so I have at least one fun update.

Kitsune & Fox Prototypes
The fox and Kitsune will basically look the same (base wise) - so I'll pay for the fox sample to start once the Kitsune base is how I would like it to be. Pintopia 2025
Curious to see how tariffs will go. I know Pintopia 2025 stuff will be finished before this project (pins are just faster to produce), so I'll see how those hit first. Whee. :D

For those following my other project, I apologize that it will seem like this is being ignored in comparison, plush are just a different beast since I didn't have prototypes finished of sketches prior to launch. Only the two keychains + Toby were finished in advance. I know there are some sketchy projects with crowdfunding sometimes, but I will sooner get a normal job or borrow persona funds to speed things up if it comes to that than let a project go unfulfilled.

Piles of Plush Preorders
I will eventually list preorders here if you wanted to add more things on before things ship or order something that may come in sooner separately. I will not have anything listed on here until it's at least started production. It's easier on me this way to keep track of things + I would like to have prototype photos on the site. I know several people had no idea this project happened at all (especially my irl friends who were like YOU HAVE A KITSUNE IN THE WORKS??).
