ALL INTERNATIONAL JUMPER CABLE EDITION PACKAGES HAVE SHIPPED! I know it has been a long road, and there was a six+ month delay when I got slapped with US regulations on importing/exporting, but everything should be hitting your various postal systems very soon. It feels good to have gotten these out; better late than never.
Barring potential technical issues with deliveries, this version of the project will be going dark soon, but you can catch me in the Wasteland Degenerates Hardcover Kickstarter, which still has open pre-orders, or email me at [email protected]. Meanwhile, Wasteland Degenerates artist Matthew Myslinski is accepting late pledges for CHAINSAW here.
The light at the end of the tunnel is the END OF THE LINE. For this project at least. Hope to see you again in a future endeavor!
Thanks truly, it has been an educational, inspirational, and humbling experience producing the Jumper Cable Edition for you all as my first crowdfunding project.
Until next time, keep your junkyard dog close, and your sawed off shotty closer!
Sincerely,
Scott C. McDonald, writer and publisher Matthew Myslinski, art and layout
I talked to Standart Impressa last week, and they told me that all of the international printing is done except for the character sheets. I'm hoping to hear that they're done printing next week, so we can get the international orders out... I know it's taken far too long and I'm very sorry about that.
On a side note, Matthew is at Gen Con, and is hanging out at Brian Colin's Vast Grimm booth (#1949), so check them out!
Look at that handsome boy
I just did some project shout-outs in the Kickstarter update for the hardcover, so I won't repeat that here, but I will mention that we now have a 3rd party logo, so if you want to make your own Wasteland Degenerates-compatible content, you can slap this bad boy on there:
3rd party text to follow next update.
Keep your Giger counter handy, and I'll have more for you later.
Just wanted to check in and let you know that the proofs for the international orders came back and they look great! I expect to talk to the European printer early next week and authorize them to get started printing. I don't have an exact timeline yet, but the good news is that European folks will probably get their books pretty quickly, as I have someone doing distribution from the E.U. Everyone else will take just a little longer.
The other good news is that U.S. tariffs will NOT come into play for any of these items.
I know this process has taken far too long, but between the chaos in my country and the fact that this is my first time producing something internationally, I feel that it has been a valuable learning experience for both myself and (especially) Matthew, who has broadened his layout skill base exponentially in order to meet the added demands for the international printer.
Please bear with me just a little longer. I promise it will be worth the wait.
Shout Outs
Just a couple have come to my attention this month...
Grim Solitude and Jaws of Madness
Creature Double Feature
On top of helping me with the new zines for the hardcover edition, the Wurm-ridden genius Brian Colin was kind enough to sell the Jumper Cable Edition at the Origins game fair and the least I could do is shout out his latest deep space mission, Kickstarting two new zines, solo rules for Vast Grimm and the next chapter in the Gate of Infinite Stars saga. Check it out!
Unclean
I feel dirty?
You know Chirstian Eichhorn. He's a craftsman of Borg content, and if you don't already have his banger adventure Bergen Chrypt or his creature folio, Monsters!, this is the perfect time to get both in a sweet hardcover format! But wait, there's more! You also get an original zine, Sinners (no relation to the movie, probably). I can't wait, personally.
I have some updates regarding international orders for backers-only below, but I also wanted to make sure you got to see this very cool actual play of Wasteland Degenerates: Jumper Cable Edition by the mad troubadours of Player vs. Entertainment. It's a four part series, and a riot all the way through. See the first episode for yourself:
I owe my international customers a frank discussion, which you will be able to see below. The truefacts story is that you're all going to get your books, but I'll need a little more patience.
In other news...
GAMES WITH DAVE 3/27!
Dave is such a cool dude!
I'm appearing on Dave's show on Thursday, 3/27 at 8 PM Central US/9 PM Eastern. Dave was one of the first podcasters to give me a chance for the Jumper Cable Edition, so it will be nice to visit again.
I'm not going to spam you with the most recent developments here, but there's definitely a lot going on, and we just hit 300% funding. Go have a look at the new update!
