Six-Gun Doomsday is a ttrpg adventure and setting about survival after a gothic horror apocalypse set in the weird west of an alternate Earth ten years after the end of the U.S. Civil War. It uses rules based on Monte Cook Games’ Cypher System.
After the U.S. Civil War as the Union expanded west through the lands the indigenous peoples called home, a horrifying torrent of malevolence was released on the world, its cause still unknown. The macabre creatures and forces unleashed destruction on all, leaving the scarce survivors nearly hopeless. The few scattered heroes were left with only their skills, the arcane secrets of past mystics, and the bizarre creations of deviant inventors to fight the oncoming forces of darkness.

Six-Gun Doomsday contains a full length campaign with each adventure able to be used as one-shots.

The world breaks more than bodies. It tears at memory, courage, and sanity. The Spirits of Doom will tear that from us all. But some folks just don’t fall—not yet.
At the core of the setting of Six-Gun Doomsday is the struggle between the Spirits of Life (the positive forces and spirits that remain) and The Spirits of Doom (the fiends that are the cause of the Doomsday apocalypse). Good people rely on The Spirits of Life to resist evil. Life Pool In Six-Gun Doomsday survival is difficult. Each character has a Life pool that is impacted each time damage is taken, any day that they’re short on food or drink, or when they fail a spirit check when meeting a Spirit of Doom. Characters begin at level 6 of their Life pool. At level 3 the character is Impaired: a wounded or injured state. At level 2 the character is Weakened: a state where everything is difficult. At level 1 the character is Debilitated: a critically injured state.
Ain’t flesh. Ain’t armor. Ain’t luck. It’s the echo of survival itself.
In Six-Gun Doomsday when a character’s Life pool reaches zero the character would be lost - they die outright or worse, losing themselves completely to Doom. But the player has a choice to make, they can Go For Broke, or go Aces and Eights.
Go For Broke The player takes their chances. They surrender to the Spirits of Life and hope they are given another chance, or they might be taken instead by the Spirits of Doom. The player flips a coin (or rolls a die, dividing the result between odd/even or high/low). On a success, the character is brought back to life with 4 levels in their Life pool. If they fail they are permanently lost to the Spirits of Doom.
Aces and Eights A character who chooses Aces and Eights makes a deal with the Spirits of Doom. The character rises with 4 levels in their Life pool, but they are deeply indebted to the Spirits of Doom. They will be haunted by horrors and tempted by fiends. When they finally reach zero in their Life pool, they become a horrific servant of the Spirits of Doom, far worse than an undead character they are now part of the forces seeking to destroy all life.
As with all Cypher System based games, in Six-Gun Doomsday, players can create characters by choosing their descriptor, type and focus. To jump right into the adventure you can instead use Character Profiles such as Gunfighters, Shaman,Gamblers, Eccentric Inventors, The Possessed, and Seekers of Redemption. By answering 3 simple questions you create a character, then add your personal touch!

Gunfights and duels are an important part of many western stories, with the tension elevated by the actors, scenery and other parts of the encounter beyond just two people meeting at high noon to shoot at each other. These rules for duels help elevate the drama. The duel scene is divided into four different stages which give a player a chance to gain an asset in the final "Draw!" stage, with clever role play. In each section the player describes how they react and make a roll which can give an asset in the final stage. The four stages are: The Scene, The Intimidation, The Threats, and Draw! The character’s allies can attempt to help their friend - their life is at stake - while the spotlight is on the two duelists.
