Ive been more than patient and understanding with Shadowlands with this, Call of the Sea and Scions projects. Thats a lot of money so I expect common courtesy and regular updates. I can forgive delayed projects as long as the communication is honest. I reached out to one of the two authors for this project, and got an email reply within a couple of hours, as follows: "Hey, the writing's obviously behind schedule, for various reasons, but work's continuing on it from the writing end. I've no insight into Shadowland's finances; all I can say is that they've paid my invoices promptly, but I haven't had reason to invoice them in some time as the next deliverable is a draft of the game, and we're not there yet. I'm very sorry for the delays, and I understand your frustration. Gar" Whilst this doesn't address the company's ghosting of their Scions backers, at least the author is still working on the project. And respect to him for replying so quickly, something Shadowlands is incapable of doing. There are plenty other project contributors (advisors, artists etc) over the different projects. Many are on LinkedIn and are contactable.
