We've been attending the Dickens Fest in Eminence, Kentucky for probably going on ten years. We haven't been every year, but I think we've only missed one or two.
For the past few years, I've thought about vending at Ren Faires but never made the actual step into doing it until this year. There was a small, local Ren Faire in southern Indiana and I decided that would be a good start...small, local and if I flopped, well...chalk it up to a learning experience.
But we did great!
The kiddos made and sold resin crafts, I sold my books and at the last two weekends, I made witch hats! Okay, I didn't do the knitting, but I did the decorating! For this one, I decided I'd do something similar but with a Christmasy theme.
The one above is the first one I finished and I'm thrilled with how it looks.
Other than putting our tree up the weekend after Thanksgiving, going to the Dickens Fest is pretty much my favorite Christmas tradition but this year, it's going to be a little different, since I'm going to be in a booth for a lot of it.
What's your favorite Christmas tradition? Have you ever been to a winter Ren Faire or a Dickens Fest?
