Project FAQ
Monsters & Myths is a multi-world tabletop RPG system designed to take you across diverse, interconnected universes, each with its own mythology, themes, and gameplay challenges. Unlike traditional RPGs locked into one setting, our system uses a unified mechanic to seamlessly transition between worlds—be it a folklore-rich Caribbean island or a cyberpunk dystopia. It’s built for flexibility, creativity, and replayability, offering endless storytelling possibilities.
We’re focused on timely delivery. Core rewards are digital and will be sent out within days of the campaign wrapping to eliminate shipping delays and extra costs. Physical rewards, such as custom playing cards or rulebooks, will be fulfilled through experienced partners and are estimated to ship within 3 months of the campaign’s successful conclusion. Weekly updates during the campaign and biweekly updates post-campaign will keep you informed every step of the way.
The Fateweaver title is an exclusive, honorary add-on that recognises your role as a backer in helping shape the Monsters & Myths universe. Backers with this title will be credited in the "Fateweavers" section of our [rulebook/website/credits] to immortalize their support. It’s a small but meaningful way for us to thank you for your contribution! (Note: This is purely honorary and does not confer any legal or intellectual property rights.)
Nope! You don’t need any dice to play Monsters & Myths. The game uses a standard deck of playing cards to resolve actions and encounters. If you’re after a more immersive experience, we offer a custom deck of cards specifically designed for the game, featuring unique artwork and symbolism tied to the game’s world. But if you prefer to keep things simple, a regular deck of cards will work just as well. It's all about what makes the game most enjoyable for you!
Modular worlds are self-contained settings within Monsters & Myths, each with its own lore, creatures, challenges, and flavour. These worlds share a core set of mechanics, allowing players to transition between them seamlessly or even blend elements from multiple settings into a single campaign. For GMs, they act as narrative toolkits, providing endless opportunities to craft unique adventures while maintaining consistency across the game’s mechanics.
No. Our team has had two other successful campaigns—The Diary of The Stray Dogs: The Wounded on Indiegogo in 2022 and Alluhwi Comics Presents on Kickstarter in 2023. Both campaigns helped us hone our approach to delivering value to backers while building strong relationships with our community. With this experience under our belt, we're excited to bring Monsters & Myths to life with the same dedication and attention to detail.
Great question! Crowdfunding can seem a bit intimidating at first, but don’t worry, it’s a straightforward process. When you back a campaign, you're essentially pre-ordering the product—whether it's a game, book, or something else—before it's produced. You'll choose your reward tier, pledge your amount, and once the campaign ends, we’ll work to fulfill all rewards. We’re committed to keeping you updated every step of the way. If you have any questions or concerns, we’re always here to help. Backing Monsters & Myths means becoming part of something exciting, and we’ll make sure you feel confident and informed throughout!
Core rewards are digital and will be delivered within days of the campaign wrapping, so no shipping fees there! For physical rewards, we haven’t started production yet, but as soon as they’re ready, we’ll share product dimensions, estimated weights, and the shipping costs. Please note that shipping fees will depend on your location, and there may be separate VAT and customs fees, depending on your country’s regulations. We’re committed to keeping you updated every step of the way, and we’ll provide all the details you need once production is underway.
You can follow us on social media for updates, sneak peeks, and announcements! We’re active on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube under @alluhwicomics. If you have any specific questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out via direct message or email ([email protected]). We’re here to help and keep you in the loop every step of the way!
BackerKit FAQ
BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.
If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.
Backers often receive special rewards for their support, such as:
- Exclusive products
- Bonus rewards for backing related projects
- Discount pricing
- Behind-the-scenes updates
- Creative input opportunities
Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.
- Select a pledge level with the reward(s) you would like to receive
- Select any add-ons
- Confirm your pledge!
- You are charged only if the campaign meets its funding goal.
- Charges happen when the campaign ends, not when you pledge.
The creator will send you a survey to:
- Ask you for more information about your rewards (selecting options, etc)
- Collect shipping information
- Offer additional items you may want to add to your pledge
- Collect shipping fees (if applicable)
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge. Additional payments are charged when you complete the survey.
Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.
You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.
Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
