Hello again! I hope you all are enjoying the start of May! First I'll update about the plushies then show the freebie photos.

Presently there is not much I can share about the plushies, I am still checking in regularly with my manu, but as the situation is so unstable most manufacturers are holding off on shipping anything until things improve. I know this isn't the most exciting update, but please know I am not ghosting anyone and I will do my best to get them made asap

But for more concrete and positive news, the freebie stickers and buttons have arrived. I was able to get them just 2 days before the president got rid of the under 800$ exemption which was a big relief TOT I am really happy with how they turned out and I hope you are too. The cost of these was not factored into the money you pledged for your plushies, I paid for them out of pocket so they are well and truly freebies XD

Hi again everyone
Here's another little update to keep you in the loop. On Friday the plush button and acrylic charm add-on items arrived thankfully before the president gets rid of the de minimus exemption on May 2nd. The charms I need to assemble myself so I will be taking a day or two to get that done in the next couple of weeks and I will share progress photos of that as well.

As well I just wanted to update everyone about the plushies themselves, right now the manufacturer is working hard to find shipping solutions and waiting to see how the tariff situation progresses. Many manus are holding off on shipping right now, and I really appreciate how much work they are putting in to help deal with this situation.

The manu rep has told me they have been able to send some other makers' plushies without any tariff troubles but they want to wait a bit more before moving forward with the production. There is a holiday coming up in China this weekend so I will ask for another update afterwards

I will try my best to keep you updated regularly, I know there's a fine balance between too much and not enough so hopefully like 3x a month or so is a good amount.

Right now my manu is working with a logistics company to find the best ways to ship without incurring too much tariffs. Presently tariffs have been raised to a comical 245% and some companies are simply not shipping to the US until the US president becomes more reasonable. Again who know what will happen 6 months down the line, but hopefully in the next few weeks it can be settled enough to move ahead

In the mean time I have begun ordering supplies and the other campaign items. I have shipping supplies, packaging, stationary etc and ordered the acrylic charms and plush buttons. I hope they arrive before the de mininus (shipments under 800$ are not subject to tariffs) gets revoked but even if they do not I figured I can handle that cost for now

Hello everyone
I just wanted to post an update, although its less of a positive one. Probably you are aware of the trade war now going on between the US president and China. Currently the import tariffs on any items being shipped or made in China are 145% as of earlier today. The plushies are to be produced with a manufacturer based in China. This means when I receive the plushies I will receive a tax bill from USPS of 21,750$. (145% of 15,000$ which is about the cost of producing the plush) 

Suffice to say, I cannot pay 21,750$ taxes and did not account for such a number when this campaign started. 

Right now there are a couple of options because I have not yet received or paid invoices from the manufacturer I can issue refunds at any time. I would prefer not to have to cancel and refund the project but it would be the safest option in this very volatile situation. For right now my plan is to wait a few weeks to see if anything improves and I will keep the surveys open during that time. 

Even if the US president backs down for now, there's no saying what he will do later on as well. The plushies take quite awhile to produce so there is a lot of risk involved.

I will talk with my manu and get their input and will continue to keep you posted on the situation as it unfolds, thank you so much for your understanding and patience

Hi there everyone
I just wanted to send out a little update now that we are at the end of March. All funds have been fully transferred to me and the surveys received approval on Friday! All positive things so far :))
So I have sent out Smoke Test Surveys to 5% of backers today. The purpose of the smoke test is to get a sampling of Surveys back as a method for weeding out any potential errors/issues. 

Once those 5% of surveys are completed and I fix any errors (hopefully there are little to none after all the work I did TOT) the surveys will be sent out to the rest of the backers and you can pick out your plush husbands!

I will also be submitting the production order to my manufacturer this week, I have a pretty good idea of how many we're going to need of each plush, and which plush husband is the most popular (*cough* Astarion)
