After a fallen star finds themself in the hands of the unsuspecting Siona, a longing for adventure becomes more than just that.
With her friends Davin and Holden (and sort-of friends Felicity and Mika) tagging along for the ride, Lumi inadvertently drags the six across the galaxy as they discover colorful planets, forbidden secrets, and an ancient evil in a wild attempt to bring them home. As they slowly uncover more about their universe and what lies within it, their adventure becomes more than they ever could have expected when a vengeful being threatens to destroy their galaxy.
This is the pilot of Lumi and the Great Big Galaxy.

Lumi is a little star with a lot of spark- and more than determined to travel across the cosmos to find their way home. Curious, naïve, and friendly, this little star may end up being more trouble than they're worth...
Self proclaimed paranormal investigator Siona is always on the case! An adventurer at heart, her friendly nature makes her someone you can count on- even if she's a little reckless.
Davin, Siona's best friend and travel companion. A former fruit vendor with a lack of adventure, they have a kind heart and good head on their shoulders.
Felicity's best friend and loyal sycophant, Mika. The self-proclaimed "leader" and voice of reason-- not that anyone cares to listen.
Rambunctious and rowdy Holden is the newest addition to the Great Big Galaxy. Bug lover, card collector, foodie, and troublemaking enthusiast.
Bratty, demanding, and self proclaimed 'cutest in the galaxy' Princess Felicity she wants everyone to know she's pretty much the best around- and don't you forget it!
Kind and gentle Elios was the galaxy's sworn creator and sun deity, protecting the galaxy and all that dwelled in it until her sudden disappearance. No one truly knows what became of her after sparks of her were found scattered throughout the galaxy... but surely she'll return one day, right?
The great big galaxy was always protected under Elios' watchful eyes... that is, until Hala suddenly took over. Cold, alluring, and all around mysterious, Hala's cool demeanor and short temper has her struggling to balance her grief and the fate of the cosmos that were suddenly thrust in her hands.
The galaxy's greatest enemy. Abandoned and forgotten by Elios, Void manages to escape their eternal seal and now traverses the cosmos, consuming any light it sees with the goal of plunging the galaxy into eternal darkness.
Following the mysterious disappearance of Elios, creator of the universe, the galaxy finds itself in a period of unease.
With the stars dying out, it's only a matter of time before the galaxy goes with it. After all, what is a universe without light? Hala and Aries can't let all her hard work be for nothing, but what choice do they have?
Meanwhile on a distant planet, self-proclaimed paranormal investigator Siona is struggling during a celebrational festival. She considers packing up and turning in- ready to call the day quits and join in on the festival fun.
She just doesn't know the newest object of her research will lead her on the adventure of a lifetime.
Animation is a medium that should be celebrated, not dismissed as it so often is. With the expenses of animation being so high, it's uncommon that those untied to large corporations ever finds success aside from the occasional outlier.
Crowdfunding through BackerKit allows us control most creators have no say in. We want to retain both Lumi's artistic integrity, oversight, and vision, and with the creative field being one of uncertainty, we want that field to remain respected, as it should always be.
Animation is expensive- but the good news is, we know how expensive! Our pilot's pre-production has given us incredible insight on what it takes to keep the ball rolling- for example, we've completed the script, animatic, and voice acting for our pilot- and as such, will allow us to apply everything we've learned into our production with your support.

With our current timeline, we hope to have rewards fulfilled and shipped by either QUARTER TWO or THREE of 2025, though this is a rough estimate. Shipping fees will not be processed until the campaign's end, and will be collected and calculated by BackerKit to ensure accurate costs depending on your region.
Digital and physical reward fulfillment will occur during the same timeline. We will provide updates to ensure transparency as progress continues.

We are very aware that there will be massive risks pertaining to the pilot if we are not successful. Animation is expensive, and we realize we're asking a lot here! But we hope with showing what we have been able to accomplish regarding our first crowdfund (finishing the pilot animatic, voice acting, and a few minutes of rough animation, for example) we will be able to reach our goal, and of course, encourage those considering backing us to want to see more. There’s always a chance for delays or unexpected problems- but we are determined to not only see it through, but give full transparency, consistency and honesty. Your support means the world to us- and with this production, we intend to see it through.
