Project Update: Podcast interview, encounter cards, new poll, anarchism, sinners, and running out of space in the title for mo

Hi all,

We are about one week out from the campaign close, and I have a few cool updates.

Podcast Interview

I had a fantastic 45-minute conversation with Iko from the Lost Bay Podcast about the book, my perspective on horror, the power of tables, and more. The Lost Bay community has been a huge source of inspiration, collaboration and support as I've honed my game design work, and I'm truly honored to be on this fantastic podcast.

I also drop the ever-popular phrase "projectile vomiting" a few times (but more slapstick than Exorcist).

Give it a listen!

Encounter Cards

We have four of the eight guest encounter card illustrations in, and they are looking great!

Really excited to see how the artists are interpreting the materials in the book!
If you're not yet familiar with their work, check them out!

Stretch Goals

Oh, by the way we smashed through our $15k and $17.5k stretch goals, so Strega and I are making two additional spark spreads to put in the book.

More to come on those!

New Poll

This one's for the folks in the middle of the venn diagram of Radiohead, Horror and Spaceships.
We need a name for this ship designed by Rob Turpin.
So we opened a poll.
Vote early, vote often.

Anarchy in the AK (Press)

Recent developments around the world have brought me back to reading and practicing anarchism, and getting books from AK Press, whose logo goes nicely with the ship above. There are no accidents in the world of magic.

Sinners

I've seen it two weekends in a row, and will probably see it at least one more time while it's still in the theaters.

It's a stunning exploration of community, music, love, time, autonomy and liberation.
And also there's vampires.
Like Ryan Coogler's other work it is deeply nuanced and deeply human.

And some of the music-centered sequences will stay in my mind for a long time (and before, and beyond)

One Week Left

Just a little over a week to go, and we'll be sharing some cool news shortly.

take care of each other out there,
adam
