Thank you all for being so patient and understanding while our small team worked through the incoming messages regarding the bagged shipments. In total, we received more than 500 reports of damage, which took us some time to process as we responded to everyone. Among the requests, many of you offered words of support and general thanks, while others took the situation in stride with a cheerful email. Your support always serves as a great reminder of why we do this.
As you might expect, we've received a number of important updates regarding fulfillment and want to keep you informed about what to expect. We also want to mention that we see the project itself was marked as 'fulfilled'. We don't have any control over that designation, and we will ask BackerKit for more information.
US Damage Replacements
Thank you so much to each and every backer who reached out to us about the damages. We've been quietly working to finalize reships, and are happy to share that we expect them to begin shipping this week. You can expect to receive these very soon. We will let everyone know when we've heard that replacement shipments have concluded via a pinned comment reply to this update.
Outstanding US Shipments
A small number of US shipments are still outstanding. We've identified what appears to be 198 outstanding orders. There are 25 orders remaining to be shipped from Warehouse 23 that contain add-ons, along with 60 retail orders. We are also tracking 113 orders that were not included in any previous fulfillment waves. We expect to ship these pledges immediately after the damage replacements go out.
United Kingdom & European Union
We are very close to beginning shipping for both the UK and EU countries. We've heard some good news regarding inventory from GamesQuest this morning. They've also informed us they are expecting to send out address verification notices later this week. Please make sure to keep an eye on your email to confirm whether an address update is needed.
We expect shipping for the EU to begin on August 31, while UK orders are currently slated to begin shipping on September 14.
Australia & New Zealand
To our friends in Australia and New Zealand, you'll be happy to know that our fulfillment partner (Let's Play Games) notified us over the weekend that inventory has arrived. They are currently working through a bit of a backlog, but they expect to begin fulfillment the week of August 31.

We’re throwing the ultimate Munchkin party at Gen Con, and we want you to be there!
The Munchkin 25th Anniversary Party is being held in celebration of 25 epic years of your favorite monster-slaying, Treasure-stealing, buddy-stabbing card game.
It will take place on Friday, July 31 at Tavern on South, only a short walk from the Indianapolis Convention Center. The party begins at 7:30 pm and concludes at 10:00 pm, but VIP ticket holders can enter early at 7:00 pm!
You'll begin your evening by picking up your goodie bag, which will be filled with Treasures like a Munchkin d6, a party-specific badge ribbon, an exclusive pin, a branded Munchkin sugar cookie, and more!
Next, you'll receive a character card for an (optional) quest throughout the evening. There are eight stations around the venue, like a photo booth and a memory wall, where you can collect stickers to try to get your character to Level 10. When you do, the card has a special in-game rule and becomes usable in all your future Munchkin games!
Food, a mocktail, and soft drinks are included, and we will have an extensive menu of heavy hors d'oeuvres. The mocktails will be themed to potions in Munchkin!
If you purchase a VIP ticket, you’ll get extra goodies in your welcome bag, early entry, and a custom, hand-drawn caricature of yourself by Munchkin artist Lar deSouza to take home from the party – and it also includes an in-game rule!
Best of all, Steve Jackson will be there to meet and sign autographs for all attendees!

Yesterday morning we were made aware of a distressing issue. Via a help request, we learned that a number of US backers were sent their Munchkin Second Edition pledges in plastic shipping bags. Obviously this created an early morning stir, and we worked to track down every bit of information that we could about what was happening.
What we know:
Approximately 2,500 pledges for US backers were shipped in standard plastic bags by our logistics vendor.
What we did:
Put a stop to all new shipments.
Gathered a list of every backer impacted.
What changes:
Confirmed that all future shipments will arrive boxed.
Boxing takes longer, so we won't be finished by 7/17 like we were expecting, and we're awaiting the updated timeline for the remaining orders.
What we need from you:
Please email[email protected] or visit our help page if you received your Munchkin 2e pledge in a bag, and its contents were damaged. Please include the email address associated with the pledge, as well as a picture of the damage.
We want to be clear:
Shipping Munchkin Second Edition in a bag is not okay, and was never our intent.
We will replace your pledge items if they were damaged in transit from being bagged. Please contact us.
We're apologize to each and every backer that had or will have a damaged copy show up on their doorstep because it was bagged, and we're right along side you in our disappointment over the situation. Please reach out to us so we can correct it.

Fulfillment Update
United States: Shipping is currently underway. We have shipped approximately 400 pledges out from Warehouse 23, while our secondary team is actively staging to begin fulfillment. Once we get the thumbs up that fulfillment has begun, we will let you know how things are progressing.
Canada: Canadian fulfillment is already well underway, and we are already seeing some results. According to our information, all Canadian backers should expect to receive their package soon, as many are already on their way to you! To our friends to the north – thank you for your support!
United Kingdom & European Union: We are working with GamesQuest to handle the fulfillment of Munchkin Second Edition. Due to some logistical restraints along with current events, Munchkin Second Edition was paired with Fighting Fantasy Set 2 on the outbound shipments. We don’t have specifics yet, but we're targeting an August delivery and will work to get these to you as soon as possible.
Australia/New Zealand: We are working with a local team in the region to assist us with fulfillment. Similar to the UK and EU shipments, these shipments were paired with Fighting Fantasy Set 2 items and will be delivered together to Sydney. We expect delivery in late July, and we will work with the local team to get your shipments to you as soon as possible.
Rest of World: Pledges headed out to the Rest of World will be handled by Warehouse 23 in Austin. We will ship your pledge directly to you, and you will receive an email notification once the process has started. We expect to begin shortly.

Big Box Upgrade Set Reprint (July 18th)
Near the end of the campaign, we had to make the difficult decision to limit the number of BigBox Upgrade Sets available to help us stay ahead of manufacturing deadlines. We recently received news that the second wave of Upgrade Sets will be completed in late July. Unfortunately, it’s too far behind in the process to be included in the upcoming fulfillment, but we will make these available and let you know where to find them.
Munchkin Digital & Munchkin Digital Skin Keys!
We’re happy to share that we are in the process of digitally distributing these items. Backers who selected Munchkin Digital as an add-on during the survey will receive a code redeemable on Steam found within the BackerKit Digital Locker. All other backers will receive the exclusive character skins for your support of Munchkin Second Edition. These skins can be redeemed on the Dire Wolf website, allowing you to use the skins on Steam, Apple Store, and Google Play compatible devices.

This is a BIG update, and we have a lot to talk about. While we’ve been quiet, we’ve been working hard, and a few major updates came together at the same time. In this update, you’ll hear about the current status of locking orders and fulfillment news on your pledge. We will share a pair of t-shirt designs we are putting up for pre-order on Warehouse 23, and you will also read an exclusive announcement about the first expansion for Munchkin Second Edition!

Locking Addresses
We’ve been quietly shuffling inventory to prepare for fulfillment, and we’re at the point where we need to lock addresses so that we can provide the appropriate details to other teams we are working with. Shortly after this update is posted, we will take the necessary steps to lock down backer addresses. The BackerKit automated system will alert you via email when this process begins, and you will have 48 hours to make any necessary updates to your address. After that, further changes must be made by contacting us directly via our help page.
Once addresses have been locked down, we will provide this list to our shipping teams, so please make the necessary changes as soon as you can.
Fulfillment Update
Fulfillment for campaigns of this size is time-consuming to organize and prepare. We’re happy to have the help of multiple partners around the world! Stock for our international partners will arrive at intervals over the next few weeks, while our US inventory will soon begin staging for fulfillment.
United States
Fulfillment for backers receiving the Munchkin Second Edition/Big Box Upgrade Set will be processed by our team in Georgia, while backers who selected add-ons will have those items shipped by our team from Warehouse 23 in Austin. We expect to complete shipping of items without add-ons by mid-July.
Canada
For our friends to the north, the necessary inventory is being prepared by our teams in Georgia and will begin transit very soon. Orders will be shipped from our partner facility outside of Toronto. You should expect to receive an email from them to confirm necessary details before your pledge ships.
United Kingdom & European Union
We will be working closely with the GamesQuest team to handle fulfillment for these countries. Inventory is currently being moved towards their warehouses, and you can also expect to receive an email to confirm necessary details to ship your pledge.
Australia & New Zealand
We are excited to be working with a fulfillment partner for the first time to help expedite shipping into this region. Our friends at Let’s Play Games will be working closely with us to deliver your pledge! Be on the lookout for more information about this in a future update.
Rest of World
Finally, we have about ~150 backers that do not fall under any of the regions listed above. These orders will be packed and shipped by our team at Warehouse 23 in Austin. To expedite shipping, please make sure you confirm your address in BackerKit during the upcoming confirmation process.
We’re really excited to start getting Munchkin Second Edition and the Big BoxUpgrade Set into your hands. We expect this process to unfold over the next 90-days until we reach complete fulfillment.
