Dear backers, happy fall! We have uploaded a very slightly revised version of Enter the Nostalgitron plus Scruth-Scruth Steals the Show—the bottle-episode zine about the sidekick/pet/3D-printing accident haunting the great Snake-hulk-drome.
SSSTS was a ton of fun to write together, and I think I can safely say that Michael had a tun of fun illustrating and designing it. I mean, just look at these sapient cat-like colorful blobs of nanites:
Production updates
We are on track to send files to China at the end of the year, and printing will take place over the spring. All files are done except for the minis, which Michael is still tweaking. We'll be in touch with shipping estimates and a shipping timeline in 2026.
In the meantime, please enjoy the digital files, and please join us on the server for a game if you've been meaning to try Stillfleet.
Have a great end of 2025! We'll be back with more updates when we can.
Hey! This is Mike taking over for Wythe to update you on our progress with Enter the Nostalgitron, Scruth-Scruth Steals the Show, and all our other goodies. So buckle up, because we’ve got some exciting news to share!
Scruth-Scruth and the chubcat cousins have arrived!
Enter the Nostalgitron
By now you should have received your Backerkit link to download the PDF version of Enter the Nostalgitron.
If you missed the email, head to nostalgitron.backerkit.com to resend your survey link, and then navigate to your digital downloads page from there.
If you’ve already got your PDFs, feel free to hit us up with feedback! Have you played the campaign yet? Do you have a favourite Cereal Cultist? Inquiring minds want to know!
Scruth-Scruth Steals the Show
We’re so close, gnar! Layout is locked, and I’m just finishing up the last few illustrations. You’ll have this scruth-tastic bonus in your digital hands soon. Of course, I couldn’t wait to share a little preview with you all, hence this update. We hope you love this zany side-quest/bottle episode as much as we do. (Spoilers: we love it a lot.)
Oh, and if you missed it, Wythe and I did a livedrawing stream over on Twitch and YouTube the other day. Check it out to witness the birth of Grodie the Porkdog, one of the many ridiculous characters you’ll meet in Scruth-Scruth Steals the Show. Watch it on YouTube or Twitch, and don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss the next livestream!
Everything else Nostalgitronic
Once Scruth-Scruth Steals the Show is finished, I’ll switch over to finalize the other goodies from the campaign, such as the minis and sticker sheets. Then, we’ll send them off to the manufacturer, review proofs, and make any edits.
We’ll share more info on the physical rewards and delivery timelines after we finalize all files. We’re still on track to send off files to print this year and deliver rewards in early 2026. (Insert caveat about tariffs, etc. here.)
Danse Macabre: Medieval Horror Roleplaying
The Kickstarter launch of Danse Macabre is just over the horizon, and between you and me, you definitely don’t want to miss it. I’ve gotten a few little sneak peeks at the game, and I’m in love. Chris, Wythe, and the rest of the Stillfleet Studio team have been putting in the work in on this one, and it shows. In fact, I’m also writing and illustrating a chapter for this new game!
Thank you again for supporting this project. It’s been a blast bringing it to life with the Stillfleet Studio team.
You can stay up to date with all my artistic nonsense by following me on Instagram, Bluesky, and TikTok. And of course, make sure you’re following Stillfleet Studio on all platforms!
Stay frosty! —Mike
Quick shout-out: Scorched Basin
Heyo, Wythe here grabbing the update to let you know about a friend's Kickstarter which the Stillfleet Studio is directly supporting, in a minor way, with voiceover work for some communistic crystal karaoke goblins (yes!). Scorched Basin is a new, expansive Dune + Mad Max-inspired desert landscape and system-agnostic TTRPG setting. It's full of factions, maps, audio, rules for cool vehicle called Bashers, a magical meteor crash, a unique magic system—just tons of weird fun details you can bring into an RPG.
Moreover, the campaign is an experiment in bringing together dozens of indie RPG creators. We're going to talk to the creators soon on Why We Roll and learn all about the concept and how it's going. Check out the campaign now and join us on the Twitch stream on September 20 to ask the creators about their vision.
We're very excited to let you know that we've just released the 1.0 digital version of Enter the Nostalgitron. We've included 3 files:
The pages version of the full PDF
The spreads version of the full PDF
A new, one-page character sheet designed by Michael for this book
Please check the email inbox associated with your BackerKit account. An email from BK should include a link to your digital rewards.
Note, we may offer an updated PDF in the future if we make any minor corrections.
Other digital rewards
The "Scruth-Scruth Steals the Show" zine should be done soon. This this grew in size, so Michael is going to take another week or two to illustrate it. Then I'll proof it again before sharing. We are aiming to send out this PDF in August.
Hi all, quick note to let you know that we are closing surveys and charging for add-ons. We are not charging for shipping yet, and we won't be for months.
Now, if you missed the official survey, don't worry! Just email [email protected] with the name you want listed in the credits, and as long as the final file hasn't gone off to the printer, we'll make the update. You have time.
That said, expect the initial full PDF of the book soon for your gaming pleasure. More updates then.
Hi all, quick note to ask: do you mind taking 1 minute to fill out our survey? We are done with the book other than the list of backer credits! It looks amazing, and we can't wait to share it. But we want to credit the backers who helped bring this beautifully weird project to life.
Keep in mind, we will reach out again to check shipping addresses when we're closer to having a final print plan. This won't be for at least a few months, as our printer is building a new facility outside of China, and tariffs continue to fluctuate. So don't worry about your address for now.
That's it! Thanks, and happy summer.
Just one illustration from the final book: super-mutants at home in their Nostalgitronic castle
