Alright, introductions are in order. Welcome to the first update! Sooo...I'm Rick.
*Waves*
I write things, drink coffee, and slay demons. Generally, this is a normal day. You'll be seeing a lot of updates from me here and in email for the next 23 days or so...and I apologize in advance. Crowdfunding is a special time. Let's dive into the status update for how we are doing!
First day went off to an amazing start, and we are VASTLY closer to our goal. So rather than talk about future stretch goals, I'm reserving this update to talk about the state of the book!
What's Done:
Festivals of the Forgotten is fully written!
How to Be Evil, The Festivals of the Forgotten Campaign, all subclasses, setting material, carnival prizes, items, fiction letters, and everything else except the stretch goal content!
We have made it past design edits, 2 rounds of Dev Editing, and Early Playtest! (Thank you everyone!)
A good solid portion of our art is already finished (ya'll already be looking at it, but I'm dropping in some early art transitions below!
Layout Design! All done! I've seen a few of you grab the layout sample spread so you can see what the book will look like.
What's Not Done:
Artwork! That's primarily the reason we are here. Gorgeous drip my friends. Gorgeous, Gorgeous, drip. We have some new and amazing artists coming up along with many returning from the Black Ballad.
Layout! We have all the designs done, but we can't exactly DO the layout until all the stretch goals and artwork is final!
Book Printing! <- Obviously.
Most Wanted Poster Writing! There are only 10 of these available tiers and when the project wraps up, those backers and us have 30 days to knock out their descriptions, their crimes, what they are wanted for, and their bounty for us to tie into the book!
How you can help!
Well, beyond the obvious of jumping in and spreading the word, we do have ONE stretch goal that is *not* tied to anything financial, but rather, sharing.
If you click on Achievements, there is a big shiny button to say "Share on Facebook". If you click that specific button and we get that number up to 250: We will add to everyone's digital package 3 desktop backgrounds and phone lock screens based on the final artwork for everyone.
Pretty Artwork Transitions:
I promised some artwork at the bottom, and if you are a Backer on the project, this will show up in your update! For everyone else, here is the first teaser image, and the rest of the transition into the full art piece is in the backer exclusive section.
Graey Erb is our cover artist for now two of our projects: The Black Ballad and Festivals of the Forgotten. You can go check out his glorious profile website here: https://graeyerb.com/
The cover for Festivals of the Forgotten began with this: More in the exclusive section!
