Thank you to everyone for completing your pledge managers and surveys.

Terrors from the Cosmos 1 and 2 are currently being manufactured, and we should have the games ready to ship in August. Games should be arriving later August and early September. Shirts and sticker sheets will also be shipped with the games.

The printer-friendly black-and-white versions of all game content for TFTC 1 and 2 are also complete and will be released soon, alongside the digital rewards.

The digital maps for TFTC 2 are also underway and will resemble the ascii/low-fi 80's computer aesthetic of the TFTC 1 maps, and will be provided in both color and a B&W format for printers.

I wanted to extend another thank you for all of the pledges. We're very happy with how this campaign has ended up, and it's thanks to Tempest Tome fans and Mothership players alike. 


So, what's next?

So far, we're looking at August for our fulfillment and shipping timeframe.


Tariffs & Backerkit
Unfortunately, nearly all game manufacturers (Tempest Tome included) have our games created and shipped from China. The costs, quality of work, and centralization of manufacturing (for example, our factory is able to create the plastic shells via a mold, the obi strips, etc., not just the games) make it a lot better to manufacture there vs the USA or elsewhere.

Due to the political/economic situation in the USA, there are tariffs on products from China.

Right now, this is causing many tabletop game studios to fully shut down and cut their losses, as tabletop games usually have a pretty narrow margin. We are a small studio with only a few games, so this will not affect us quite as badly. We are not closing down and are continuing with a number of game projects.

Backerkit has set up a new tariff component in the coming pledge manager. This will allow us to add the tariff onto the games. We apologize for the increase in cost, but it's not really something in our hands, and hope you understand.

Essentially, based on where you are in the world and what you choose in the pledge manager, you may have an extra tariff cost to pay in addition to shipping. This only applies to physical products, not digital.

We have only (about) 24 hours left on the TERRORS FROM THE COSMOS 2 campaign. It has been a huge success and you all have unlocked every stretch goal. Thank you again so very much.

If anyone you know is interested or on the fence, now is the time to tell them to pledge! We appreciate your support.

TERRORS FROM THE COSMOS 1 will likely see a reprint after this campaign. We are going to try to have it available during the pledge manager portion, for those who were unable to get a copy during the campaign itself.
