High Stakes and Bloody Business is an anthology that brings together two of WPP's favorite things: vampires and whump.
Vampire: a creature, often considered undead, that feeds on blood Whump: a genre of fiction which combines elements of horror with a character enduring physical, psychological, and/or emotional injury.
HSBB features 30 stories by 26 different authors! Within these pages you'll find thrills, chills, and of course a lot of bloody goodness.
50% of any profit raised in excess of our goal will be donated to Bat Conservation International.
All WPP books will be available as add-ons in both ebook and paperback!
If you back the campaign at any level (including the $1 Friend of the Bats level), you'll then be able to add any WPP books to your pledge. That's 20 different books for you to choose from!
As part of this campaign, we'll be doing a second print run of the special edition paperback of Magnanimous Moonrise and Savage Sunsetby Nox Spacey! In this unique dueling story structure, the same events are described from two different perspectives: that of a vampire and that of the vampire hunters.
The special edition paperback is an upside-down book (aka tête-bêche). So you’ll be able to read Savage Sunset, and then when you get to the end of that story, you’ll flip the book over and read Magnanimous Moonrise!

We are currently in the process of copy editing the anthology. Our tentative goal is to have the book completely edited and formatted by the end of the campaign.
The biggest risk is that the project fails to meet its funding goal. If this happens, High Stakes and Bloody Business will still be published in ebook and paperback, however, no bookmarks will be produced.
The other major risk is production and shipping delays. We will be working with several vendors, and depending on their schedules production could take longer than anticipated. We will do our best to communicate any delays. As with any project involving shipping packages there is the small possibility of packages being delayed, damaged, falling into the ocean, etc. The postal system is a fickle beast. If your package is lost in the postal system, we are unable to offer a refund.
Shipping will be charged after the campaign ends to ensure that you get the best price possible. Tentatively, shipping within the USA will be $6-10 and shipping internationally will be $20-$30.
