Welcome to our weighted animal friends Backerkit! When we first started thinking about doing plushies, we knew that we wanted to do something different, something that no one has really done before. We have seen dozens of dragon plushies, hundreds of dinosaur plushies, and countless cat and dog plushies; we wanted to do animals that were unique and didn’t really as much attention. So, we landed on hyenas! And from that idea more started sprouting up, a rat because everyone loves a cute rat! The okapi was next, we have two at our local zoo and they are a favorite of ours. Once we had our animals picked out we decided that we didn’t want to do just any other ordinary plushies, we wanted them to be super cuddly and loveable so the only real choice we had was to make them weighted. For optimal cuddles! These aren’t just normal plushies, these are plushies that feel like they can really hug back! That’s the best way to get that wonderful boost of serotonin! Going to the zoo is something we love to do and it always seems to give us inspiration. We have so many other ideas floating around in our heads and would love to be able to make they a reality and share them all with you! A penguin, a red panda, a raccoon, an otter; these are a few of the others we have an interest in creating, but we need your help! Any support is welcome and greatly appreciated!
