Hunt, climb and slay colossal Titans in TITANBOUND, designed for use with Shadowdark RPG. New kaiju-slaying classes, magic, gear and ancestries will help you bring down the biggest monsters ever imagined!
Fight a monster so big it’s a mega-dungeon all by itself?
Climb its hide while it’s moving, roaring, and tearing a city apart?
Slip… and have only a few heartbeats to catch yourself before the fall turns fatal?
Weave elements together to create evolving magic that changes as you level?
Turn a Titan attack into a full-scale event, with rules for Titan vs. City warfare, destruction and desperate last stands?
That’s Titanbound: a Shadowdark-compatible RPG epic of impossible climbs, brutal choices, and battles you don’t just win: you survive long enough to solve.
In Titanbound, where the “dungeon” stands up, blots out the sun, attacks you, and starts tearing a city apart, the players are the titan hunters, heroes who don’t win by trading hit points with a kaiju. They win by climbing, surviving, solving, and bringing down monsters the size of a volcano.
These aren’t normal boss fights. They’re entire adventures. Puzzles. Living environments.
If you’ve ever wanted your party to feel like they’re battling a moving mountain, this is that game.
What makes Titanbound different?
The Titan is the adventure. Each Titan is designed like a mobile dungeon: surfaces to scale, hazards to navigate, weak points to discover, and phases that change the fight as the monster moves, roars, attacks, and collapses.
Rules-light climbing. Titanbound introduces a streamlined system that builds on the elegant Shadowdark ruleset for long-distance climbing and falling. It stays very deadly without becoming GM or player homework. We call it a point-climb. Climb vast distances with a roll, and when a PC slips or is knocked off a living cliff, they have a few heartbeats to catch themselves before the fall becomes final.
Tons of new player options. All of the new classes, ancestries, magic, weapons, cities, monsters and gear were designed to not only help players fight the threats in Titanbound, but also to seamlessly fit into any Shadowdark campaign, giving players and GMs a heap of fun, new things to try.
Modular by design. You can run Titanbound as a full titan-hunting campaign, or you can drop one Titan encounter into any ongoing game as a legendary event that your players will talk about for years. There are three main ways to play:
One-off epic night: Run a single Titan hunt as a cinematic, high-stakes “event session” - climb, survive, slay.
Drop into any Shadowdark campaign: Slot a Titan into your ongoing game as a world-shaking threat, a roaming disaster, or a climactic arc boss. Every class, ancestry, weapon, spell, and city was designed to fit seamlessly, and be great additions to, an ongoing Shadowdark adventure.
Run an ongoing titan-hunting campaign: Play Titanbound as its own campaign. Track and fight Titans as they grow stronger, bigger and stranger. Build city defenses, harvest relics, and become the famous heroes who stood up to the monsters that even gods fear.

Each city has a unique theme and is built not just "out" but "up". Perfect targets for the wrath of the mighty Titans! We will post art here as soon as we can!

A quick note from Torchlight publisher, Geoff Skinner: Hi, I’m Geoff, founder of Torchlight Creative. My favorite Transformer is Unicron, my favorite Marvel villain is Galactus. Godzilla? Attack on Titan? God of War? Inhumanoids? YES, PLEASE, GIVE ME MORE! I've always loved the idea of fighting against what seems to be unbeatable, insurmountable, and overwhelming odds; threats bigger than imagination. After years in the gaming industry, I’m proud to launch Torchlight's first RPG project: Titanbound. It's a game of colossal battles, desperate climbs, and unforgettable stories that's been on my mind for over a decade, and it's humbling to see it come to life. I hope you'll join us on our Titan hunt!
