MX Paint is a series I created and designed inspired by a few different art programs that I have used - particularly inspired by old-school MS Paint and Procreate! My first iteration of this bag design came to be in 2020 and now I'm excited to give it a proper upgrade.
MX Paint Ita Bag version 1 - 2020
From Version 1 to 2
The first iteration of this bag was well loved- and I appreciate the immense support it received. It was in high demand and I wanted to give it some updates and upgrades with its return.
The first version of this bag measured 13 inches wide and was mostly intended for iPad pro. The new versions feature two bag sizes with different uses in mind.
MX Paint V2 concept work - details written in concept are not accurate to final product.
Upgrades: The new versions of this bag have neoprene-lined interiors and the pockets are also made of neoprene. Neoprene is a compact foam often used to make tech-protective cases and bags.
The new versions have a window that rests flush against the outer points of the bag making it more difficult for the window piece to bend.
The new versions also feature bag 'feet' or stands that allow the bag to sit upright easily.
The bag straps have been updated from pleather to webbed straps which are stronger and lighter and easier to curve or bend around.
While the mini bag is still made of pleather, the larger bag has an exterior of canvas making it more suitable for heavier items.
There's a number of other small changes I could mention but these are the most notable!
Materials: exterior constructed of pleather, front panel is printed pleather with clear PVC window. Interior is lined with color-matching oxford fabric/thin polyester for the top, bottom, and sides, pockets and pocket walls are lined with color-matching neoprene for safer tech-oriented padding! Straps that come with the bag (set of two) are webbed/made of thread instead of pleather.
Other features: bag has 4 metal caps or 'feet' attached to the bottom to allow it to stand easier. Logo is embossed on the back. Interior has one full-width neoprene pocket and two smaller neoprene pockets on the opposite side. One discrete pocket on the back of the bag with an oxford fabric interior. Six D-rings on the bag for multiple types of strap-wear.

On the mini, the logo is embossed since the exterior is pleather while the canvas bag has an embroidered logo.
Each bag comes with a strap set and a default transparent checkered insert.
Straps that come with the bag should match the color of the bag! Extra strap sets will be available as add-ons in this campaign.

Each strap is adjustable between 20 and 36 inches. Straps can be linked together for longer hang over-the-shoulder wear.

The canvas bag also comes with an adjustable webbed strap set that is slightly wider with movable shoulder pads. In addition to the two straps above, a longer adjustable over-the-shoulder strap will be made available.

--------------------------- Use and Intent. MX Paint Ita Bag Mini The mini bag is an "everyday use" bag but there are multiple ways to interpret that. More specifically, it is meant to be used as a purse or a bag for carrying small items that would usually take up your pockets. Your phone, wallet, keys, and any small tech are perfect for this bag. There is still a full width neoprene pocket meant to safely hold small devices but the max width of the bag is 10 inches. Please keep this in mind!
The largest devices that would commonly fit in this bag are tablets that are 10 inches or less in width, handheld consoles like the Switch (the Steam Deck will not fit due to its width), and larger stylus phones.
Small notebooks and stationery can also fit and are well suited for this bag!
MX Paint Canvas Laptop Ita Bag The canvas bag is much larger with a 16 inch width and 11 inch height. It is built to fit a 16 inch laptop and other books or devices. The external material is canvas which allows for the strap loops to sustain more. It is still rated for no more than 10 lbs to be safe (it probably will not wear comfortably beyond that weight). The interior is lined with neoprene for the pockets and sides- this material is selected with tech safety in mind!
The recommended wear for this bag is over-the-shoulder but the bag will come with a strap set intended for backpack wear. Backpack wear is less recommended due to the surface area width and the bag's front window may bend if the straps are pulled too tight. The front window piece is made of pleather which still has the capability of being scratched if pressed against rough surfaces so please wear with care!

Zipper Accessories Zipper accessories are available as an add-on item. The zippers on either MX Paint bag are fully functional without the additional accessories but these can be purchased to add some more digital tools to your untitled canvas. Zippers accessories come in either dark blue or holographic pleather, they are 2 inches long, and they clip on using a small lobster clasp. The current versions in the photos are single-sided print but the ones offered in this campaign will be double-sided. Future colorways may be added to match stretch goal colors of the bag.
A single zipper accessory will be $5 while a full set (in one colorway) will be discounted at $15.

Items (add-ons): Zipper Accessories - $5 These are to add onto the existing zippers on the bag and are not required for the bag to be usable (just to clarify). They can also be clipped onto anything similar to a keychain.
Inserts - $5 All bags come with the default checker-patterned insert but extras can be ordered.
Pins - $10 Regular size (1-2 inch) pins can be ordered. Mini pins will come in sets.
Mini Pin Sets - $20 Sets of 4 pins that are less than an inch in diameter.
MX Paint Ita Wallet - $30 Bifold zipper wallet with a small clear window for displaying flat artwork. Will be available in all unlocked colorways.

The chart above shows estimated shipping charges per country! Currently there are no excluded countries. All shipping will be through USPS and/or Asendia/Pirateship. Please be aware of this before ordering. Once your rewards are shipped, they are out of the hands of the warehouse and reception is dependent on your local postal servicing! You will be emailed a tracking number when your order is shipped, it is your responsibility to track and monitor changes in its status. If a missing mail issue occurs, you will be responsible to contact your local post servicer to conduct investigations.
REFUNDS AND REPLACEMENTS WILL NOT BE OFFERED FOR ITEMS LOST IN TRANSIT.

Fulfillment to begin in October. Reception will depend on destination country for the package.
Please note that this is an ESTIMATED timeline based on my experiences with past projects of similar scale. October is the estimated beginning of fulfillment meaning that that is when packages can be expected to start shipping. This is to ensure that this project can handle up through a few thousand orders no problem and be shipped to you in a timely manner. This means that after production, all bags will be shipped to WS warehouse and your order will be packed with care by their team!
Future: My hope with this initial campaign is to re-ignite "MX Paint" as a continuous series with a product line that gets stocked regularly in my own shop as well as future retail connections. There are a lot more products that I would like to extend this aesthetic to that reach a bit outside of this project and I hope to keep the momentum up following the end of this campaign!

Refunds and returns: Refunds for this campaign are not offered. You are able to cancel your pledge before the campaign ends. Returns will also not be offered for this campaign due to the logistics of the project. Please understand this before pledging.

The MX Paint V2 Laptop Bag is recommended for weights up to or less than 10lbs. Intended usage is for a laptop or other large electronic and some accessories or other small items. Usage outside of this is not recommended and damages caused by usage of the bag will not be covered through customer servicing.
Neither bag offered in this campaign is waterproof or weatherproof and neither bag is intended for long-term outdoor wear.
Schedule delays: Manufacturing delays or shipping delays may occur and change the projected timeline of reception. As delays occur, they will be communicated through announcements here.
Tariffs: Backerkit has a post-campaign tool for managing tariff costs upon delivery to your country. Please be aware there may be charges beyond shipping depending on the destination country. Packages will be shipped from the United States.
