Project Update: Alt text, shipping methods, and final proofs!
Hi all!
I wanted to give a quick update on ACN status as it is getting really close to shipping!!
I have a TTRPGkids blog post here with more details, if you want more details and pictures, but here's a summary below!
#1 - Final proofs came in, and they're good! I've ordered books for fulfilling the boxed sets and have ordered a whole bunch of cards, which leads to the next point...
#2 - Shipping the cards internationally got a bit weird, but I figured out how to reduce shipping costs. The printer was only able to ship cards in a box versus an envelope, like I'd hoped, so shipping internationally was going to be $17 - $30 for JUST THE CARD DECK. I figured out that if I ship the cards to myself and repackage them, I can mail in a standard envelope for <$10. So, cards and shipping supplies are ordered and expected for early June, but that will be the long lead item for shipping (though still on track to ship in June).
#3 - Final steps on digital are happening! Alt text has been added to the book, separate character sheets and the digital card deck are done, and the EDU guide and trigger warnings doc are both in process. Next up will be finishing those docs, attaching audio files to the slides, and finalizing the two bonus EDU games!
Everything is still on track, but I'm also feeling the crunch! I'm excited to get these to you soon, and... if you'll be at Origins in late June and want to play through a chapter or two of ACN with me, I'll be hosting a couple games on Friday (along with other activities)! Here's my Origins schedule, and let me know if you sign up!
