I wanted to give a quick status update on all the cards and what to expect in the next month or two!
Right now, mechanics have been playtested and artists have been kicked off! Next up, my goal is to get the surveys out to everyone before the end of July so that I know what quantities of each card I'll need to order as soon as art is done.
My overall current timeline is here, so you know what the whole plan is, and I'll keep you updated as things roll along toward fulfillment!
July: Talk to Backerkit about pre-order store for late backers
July: Send out surveys
Aug: Finalize art
Aug: Collect payment and lock addresses
Aug: Order cards based on final quantities
Sept: Ship cards to backers
Oct/Nov: Fulfillment for bonus zine game (digital + POD codes)
I also have a post here with a summary of this project and my next... along with a peek at the art-prompt prototype for one of the cards:
Thank you all for participating in the voting, and I'm looking forward to getting these cards out to you! My current plan is to kick off artists once I get back from Origins Game Fair and send out surveys in July so I can get final counts for ordering.
There's more details here in today's Dev Log update:
The FINAL SHOWDOWN poll is live! This takes the winners from the three previous polls and pits them against each other to see which one is the best birthday mockery.
In other news, I am releasing A Construct's Nature tomorrow (barring any last minute catastrophes) and will be kicking off a round of next steps on Greeting Games shortly after! My weekly Dev Logs will start focusing more on Greeting Games around mid-June, and you can find the latest one here:
The poll for round 3 of voting on ideas from the Redwyrmling is now open! Help us pick the card that makes it to final print! AND... round 2 voting closes today at noon ET. If you haven't voted there yet, please check it out as well!
In other news, I have posted another Dev Log with updates on various TTRPGkids projects - it mostly focuses on A Construct's Nature since it is REALLY close to fulfillment, but there's notes in there on Greeting Games and StoryGuider as well. I cover some lessons learned on shipping, adding audio elements to ACN, and a few other bits and pieces. You can find it here for more info:
The poll for round 2 of voting on ideas from the Redwyrmling is now open! Help us pick the card that makes it to final print! AND... round 1 voting closes today at noon ET. If you haven't voted there yet, please check it out as well!
Also, I've published another dev log with updates on various projects by TTRPGkids, including Greeting Games! The main update for this particular project is the ongoing polls, but please check this summary out if you'd like to see the process behind fulfilling a crowdfunding campaign and publishing a TTRPG. It's meant to be a combination of an update and teaching doc, and I hope you find it helpful!
